Summary
Black hair and red eyes. The Red Witch considered to be a bad omen, Kiara has only one way to break her curse — to spend her first night with someone who carries the blood of the royal house of Grandilgale.
But on the day of the wedding arranged for that very purpose, the one to lift her veil was none other than Ael, the man feared as the Mad Lion of the Battlefield.
“If it hurts, scream. I won’t stop anyway.”
A night spent trying to break the curse and fulfill the duty of the royal bloodline. But that night ties them together as fated partners, bound to share each other’s destiny.
They search for a way to undo the bond and regain their freedom, but for some reason, Ael shows no intention of letting Kiara go.
“You can return to the capital with peace of mind… and I… I’ve always dreamed of one day leaving Altnebra…”
“If you’d told me that earlier, I wouldn’t have been so hard on you.”
A life lived traveling from one hell to another, not having a single thing to call his own.
On the northern front, under orders from the Crown Prince, Ael conquered the region. And there, he met the Red Witch — and for the first time, he wanted something for himself.
Everything of yours — down to a single strand of hair, even the smallest moan — belongs to me. Because you, too, are a part of this damned North.

Male Lead: Ael
The second prince of the Altnebra Empire. He is the leader of the imperial knight order, the Red Lion Knights. Due to his older brother, the crown prince, constantly monitoring him, Ael spent his childhood on the battlefield, surviving countless near-death situations. Having become accustomed to such harsh conditions, he doesn’t know what affection or love is and doesn’t trust them. By chance, he is dispatched to the northern borderlands, where he becomes entwined with the Red Witch, Kiara, which makes him responsible for two lives: hers and his own.
Female Lead: Kiara
The Red Witch who suddenly appeared in the Black Forest of Bretnach. Considered a portent of doom, she lived hidden in the forest until she was captured by soldiers and imprisoned in the northern tower of the royal castle. Eventually, on the day of the marriage meant to break her curse, she encounters Ael and becomes bound to him as his partner. Kiara is often seen as eccentric or saying things that don’t align with the local common sense. Though people attribute her oddness to being a witch, it seems like she holds some deep, unspoken secret…
