A Night Soaked With You - Chapter 6
Yeong-won, who found herself perched on his thigh, widened her eyes at the sudden closeness of Tae-geon.
“If you wronged me with your lips, then you should apologize with your lips.”
Tae-geon’s eyes sparkled darkly as he spoke.
“A-are you crazy?”
So surprised was Yeong-won that her voice cracked. They were close enough for their breaths to mingle.
“No. I’m not crazy.”
His response came quickly.
As Yeong-won gritted her teeth, the corners of Tae-geon’s mouth twisted even more.
“I’m good at kissing. No backing out later. You have to take responsibility.”
Tae-geon made a sudden remark, then lifted the corners of his mouth even higher.
The expression looked quite wicked, causing Yeong-won, who had been glaring at him, to feel her eyelids tremble.
“That’s what you said.”
In an instant, a scene flashed through her mind.
The red, burning Milky Way spread out on the ground. The solid form of a man, and that kiss that felt like an accident.
I kissed this man.
With the thunderous realization, Yeong-won turned pale. How could she have done such a thing with a man like this…….
Hiding her embarrassment, Yeong-won stammered.
“I, I only received an apology from you in words.”
“If you want, I’ll give your role back. I just can’t stand apologies that are only words.”
“Where do you get off saying that……!”
“Why? You want to get an apology, but you don’t want to apologize yourself?”
Tae-geon smiled thinly as he continued to corner Yeong-won. She bit her lip and reluctantly asked,
“So, you’re really saying you want to receive an apology through a kiss?”
“Yeah.”
At his immediate reply, Yeong-won found herself speechless again.
Yeah, he said.
While she doubted her own ears, Tae-geon shamelessly gave a further explanation.
“You hurt me with a kiss, so you should apologize with a kiss.”
Even Hammurabi’s code couldn’t justify such a ruling.
Logically, she should have told him to stop messing around and kicked him.
But…….
“……Do you think I can’t do it if you ask me to?”
Yeong-won shot back sharply. She knew Tae-geon was provoking her.
But maybe it was the alcohol, or perhaps sheer stubbornness, but she couldn’t stand the idea of running away scared after all the humiliation she’d suffered because of this man.
Yeong-won repeated to herself over and over: Just act. Pretend it’s a drama and face him calmly.
‘A kiss, what’s the big deal about that?’
She thought she could just do it quickly and leave with her head held high.
Yet, she couldn’t bring herself to approach him. His eyes, staring at her so intently, almost as if observing her, felt unbearably heavy.
“Go ahead. That kiss you said you’re so good at.”
He twisted his lips in a sneer, pushing her without an ounce of mercy. Yeong-won, as if being forced, cupped his face with both hands.
This is just an apology. I’m just giving back what I did earlier.
But no matter how much she tried to convince herself, her wildly beating heart wouldn’t calm down.
She swallowed nervously.
Feeling Tae-geon’s scorching gaze, Yeong-won slowly leaned in.
And finally, she pressed her lips to his. The tickling sensation that spread from the contact made her toes curl.
For a moment, Yeong-won just felt the texture and thought to herself.
……What should I do now? Am I supposed to use my tongue.
Unfortunately, Yeong-won had never filmed a kissing scene before. Of course, she had never really kissed anyone either.
As she awkwardly held her lips against his, unsure of what to do next, Tae-geon’s expression went pale.
“What…… exactly are you doing right now?”
“I’m kissing! You told me to apologize!”
Embarrassed that her inexperience had been revealed, Yeong-won snapped back in frustration.
Tae-geon tilted his head slightly. This is a kiss……? he muttered, then let out a short laugh.
Yeong-won stared at him blankly.
He looked different now that he was laughing, a rare emotion for someone usually so cold.
Without erasing his smile, Tae-geon reached out with his large hand and grasped the nape of her neck.
“This is how you’re supposed to kiss.”
