Becoming the Guide of the Mysophobic Villain? Absolutely Not! - Chapter 206
Claude had a guiding allergy, but he could still receive guiding from me. Daniel, who didn’t initially have a guiding allergy, developed one recently, yet he could also receive guiding from me. Claude had continually received guiding from me and no longer suffered from guiding allergy.
It seemed impossible, but what if… I might hold a clue to solving the guiding allergy.
I wanted to test it out.
“Then, Lord Daniel, would you like to try receiving guiding from me again?”
“…What?”
Daniel looked utterly bewildered.
I stood up from my crouched position. As I approached him with a groaning sound, Daniel’s face paled again despite just starting to regain color. He scooted backward in alarm, seemingly forgetting his pain.
“M-Miss Rose, you made me promise! That I wouldn’t have to receive guiding from you…!”
“Ah, that promise? This is an exception because I suggested it first. To clarify, you can’t beg me for guiding, but if I want to give it to you, I can.”
“B, But…”
“Oh, hurry up before I change my mind.”
Daniel retreated further, practically pleading.
“Miss Rose, just because it didn’t trigger a reaction last time doesn’t mean it won’t this time. You saw what happened earlier, I can’t control myself… Please, listen to me, Miss Rose!”
“Ugh, so much talking! I suggested it, so I’ll take responsibility! Even if you accidentally throw me or pull out all my hair! Is that clear?”
Daniel looked utterly lost, like a lamb in distress. Trying to help him made me feel like a villainess.
…A villainess? Oh, no way. I’m just trying to help someone in pain with a kind heart.
Even though no one said anything, I felt offended by my own thoughts. Feeling annoyed, I scrunched up my face and stepped closer to Daniel.
I reached for his hand, starting to remove his glove. Daniel, worried I might get hurt, couldn’t bring himself to push me away.
“Miss Rose, please…!”
“Please? What do you mean, please? Are you going to live your whole life trembling like this? You have to try something if you want to have a chance to get better!”
“Is this the kind of person you are, Rose?”
“I said I’ll help! I’ll take responsibility! Just stay still!”
I growled as I grabbed Daniel’s bare hand, and he squeezed his eyes shut. His entire body tensed up as if anticipating the pain he had experienced a few minutes earlier, afraid that he might lose control again and hurt the person in front of him.
But, contrary to Daniel’s fears…
…Nothing happened.
His long eyelashes, which had been tightly closed, trembled slightly. Eventually, his eyes opened, revealing a pair of relieved, bright blue eyes. This much I had expected.
“This… usually doesn’t work well… But hold on. Sometimes it works again out of nowhere…”
I muttered an explanation, and then decided to hold Daniel’s hand properly, which had been hanging awkwardly like a dog’s paw.
When I interlaced my fingers with his, Daniel gasped and tensed up. Glancing up, I saw his face turning a bright red. His surprisingly innocent reaction was almost amusing.
“Well… it’s not like this is your first time receiving guiding, Lord Daniel. Why are you acting like this?”
“I… I have received it before, but…”
Daniel mumbled an excuse, but when our eyes met, he looked down silently. Through his thick, long lashes, I could see his nervous blue eyes.
I couldn’t help but chuckle in disbelief. Now he was getting shy.
“Even if you were drowning, I wouldn’t be able to give you CPR at this rate.”
“…Don’t tease me.”
“If you get embarrassed just from holding hands during guiding, you’d probably faint if you had to get chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation during CPR.”
“…”
As I laughed heartily, Daniel’s ears turned a deep red.
