Becoming the Guide of the Mysophobic Villain? Absolutely Not! - Chapter 210
“You look scared,” Daniel muttered as he calmly observed my tense face.
I mumbled in response, acknowledging the truth.
“…Honestly, if I were you, I’d probably do one of two things. Either report me, or threaten me to guide you every day if I don’t want to be reported.”
Daniel smiled bitterly.
“Don’t worry, Rose. Didn’t I promise? We’re friends now. I won’t try to get guiding from you.”
“…”
“Lord Claude is one thing… But I don’t want to be a bad person to you just to receive guiding.”
…Wow.
He really is the male lead.
An angel indeed.
Feeling a rush of relief and gratitude, I replied.
“Thank you so much, Daniel. It’s not just my problem but also Lord Claude’s…”
“…”
“Since you could receive guiding from me, I’m sure another Guide who can guide you will appear.”
“…I hope so.”
Daniel said, trying to smile brightly.
Even if it wasn’t Irene, I sincerely hoped another Guide would appear to save Daniel.
But I didn’t tell him what I was thinking.
That there might be a way to cure his guiding allergy.
Maybe it was instinct that told me revealing that would drag me into an inescapable quagmire.

The next day.
Even though there was no joint training, Daniel came to the Guide Center again. He brought a large bouquet and a beautifully wrapped box of cookies.
“Truly and deeply, I apologize for what I’ve done.”
Daniel bowed deeply to Sonnet, the Guide who got hurt because of him. Sonnet had a fairly thick bandage wrapped around her hand. The impact from being pushed wasn’t severe, but she had cut her palm on glass shards when she fell.
Aside from that, she had small scratches on her limbs, but none of them were serious enough to cause long-term effects.
Despite this, Daniel apologized sincerely as if Sonnet had suffered a grave injury because of him. Many other Guides watched the scene unfold.
“…Why did you do that?”
Sonnet asked with such coyness.
Just yesterday, she had been bad-mouthing Daniel, complaining how an S-Class Esper like him could throw her in front of everyone, injuring her, and then leave without an apology.
However, now that Daniel was apologizing to her so sincerely, her feelings seemed to waver.
In response to Sonnet’s question, Daniel, looking determined, began to speak.
“Recently, I’ve developed a guiding allergy. When I come into contact with a Guide’s skin, I feel pain as if my flesh is being pierced and burned. I’ve consulted the Center, but the cause remains unknown.”
Daniel was different from Claude. He chose to openly disclose his guiding allergy, which could be a significant weakness, in front of everyone.
“I was careless, thinking that covering my skin with clothes and gloves would prevent me from touching Guides. I should have informed and sought understanding beforehand… My thoughtlessness caused your injury. I deeply regret it.”
It was a sincere and perfect apology. Naturally, Sonnet had no choice but to forgive him.
“Hmph, you should have told me beforehand. I didn’t know…”
“I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t mean it like that. My hand… it only got a bit of skin torn. It won’t leave a scar.”
“Oh, really? That’s such a relief.”
Daniel finally seemed reassured, smiling brightly. His angelic smile, with his kind eyes gently crinkling, was enough to melt the hearts of all the female Guides watching.
The female Guides surrounded Daniel in a circle, careful not to get too close. Questions filled with interest and concern started coming from all directions.
“But does a guiding allergy actually exist? Can you not receive any guiding at all?”
“When did it start? Didn’t you receive regular guiding from me before?”
“Oh… Yes, it started a little over a month ago, and since then…”
“Oh, how unfortunate. You should receive guiding at least once every two weeks… It must have been tough for you, but you didn’t show it at all…”
Then suddenly, someone made an unexpected remark.
“…That makes sense. During the last joint training, didn’t you volunteer to do the guiding simulation with Rose? We were all wondering why you would choose Rose over all the other Guides. So, it must have been because you couldn’t get any guiding at all from Rose, right?”
