Becoming the Guide of the Mysophobic Villain? Absolutely Not! - Chapter 250
To explain everything that happened, I’d have to go back to this morning.
When I woke up, it was almost the end of my morning class. Claude had turned off all the alarms early so I couldn’t get up on time.
I let that slide. I hurriedly washed my face like a cat and went outside, only to find Claude had prepared breakfast and was waiting.
〈… I’m too late to eat…〉
I glanced at the clock and mumbled hesitantly. Claude gave me a cold look.
His eyes seemed to be cursing me instead of his firmly closed mouth.
In the end, I caved and sat obediently across from him. I justified it to myself, thinking missing one day of class wouldn’t hurt.
I finished my meal, barely tasting anything, but even then, Claude wouldn’t let me leave the house.
Feeling guilty, I tried to be obedient, but Claude seemed so disappointed in me that he wouldn’t smile, only glaring. Yet, he still wouldn’t let me go out.
I can’t live like this! I resolved and escaped the house when he briefly let his guard down, running to Irene’s dorm room.
Now, with Irene holding her head as if she had a headache, she finally spoke after a long pause.
“Alright, fine. But don’t you think running away from home will only provoke Lord Claude even more if he’s that mad at you?”
“What?”
“…Think about it, Rose Valentine. I’m your only friend. If you run away from home, who do you think Lord Claude will come looking for first?”
“…”
As soon as Irene finished speaking, there was a loud bang.
Then, as I turned in horror to look where that sound had come from…
The door to Irene’s dorm room was torn off its hinges—like a flimsy plastic toy house door.
And there, with a murderous look on his face, stood…
Well, who else?
“W-Why did you just break someone else’s door…!”
I tried to back away on my hands in shock, but it was no use.
Claude quickly closed the distance with his long strides and grabbed me. By the time I realized it, I was already slung over his shoulder.
I looked desperately at Irene, hoping she might intervene since she had once bested Claude in a power struggle.
But Irene seemed to have no intention of fighting Claude.
With a resigned look, Irene took a sip of her tea and casually remarked,
“I’ll bill you for the door repair, Lord Claude.”
“…”
Claude, carrying me on his shoulder, raised an eyebrow in annoyance but didn’t bother to argue. He headed home without a second thought.
As soon as we got home, we had a fight.
“Are you showing your true colors now?”
“What?”
“Does it make sense to lock someone up in the house and not let them go out?”
Claude growled at me, looking like he couldn’t believe what I was saying.
“Lock you up? Have I not catered to your every need? Three meals a day, two snacks, and even a long afternoon nap. What else could you possibly need to keep you from wanting to go out? Even when I let you do whatever you wanted, you didn’t go out.”
Hmph. It’s true, but there’s a big difference between not wanting to go out because I’m lazy and not being able to go out because you’re stopping me!
But explaining this to him seemed pointless. There was no place for me to go anyway.
I decided to head to my room. I planned to lock the door and keep him out.
But before I knew it, he had wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me toward his bedroom.
The bedroom we practically shared by unspoken agreement.
“Hey, don’t use your strength! Don’t…!”
Ignoring my struggles, Claude carried me into the room.
“So, you really want me to use my strength?”
Claude growled, as if asking if I wanted to see what would happen if he truly used his power.
“…”
Of course, I didn’t want to know. I averted my eyes.
It was clear he wouldn’t allow me to stay at Irene’s dorm or lock myself in my own room.
In the end, I realized I wouldn’t be able to escape living in the same house with him, or even sleeping in separate rooms.
