Bound by a Ruthless Contract - Chapter 13
Ga-eun froze, unable to speak.
She could only stare in shock at the man who tilted his head while watching her.
“H-hey, are you hitting on our Ga-eun? She may be beautiful, but she’s about to be married! How dare you…!”
“Aren’t you doing the same at your age, hitting on this young woman? Know your place.”
The man slowly rose from his seat.
His height and build were so imposing that Yang Si-mon unconsciously stepped back.
Si-heon casually swept his hair back, his metal watch glinting coldly under the lights.
“Three days ago, you tried to pull strings with my grandfather’s secretary. Asked to meet my grandfather just once.”
My grandfather’s secretary?
Then this man must be…
Yang Si-mon’s face turned pale.
“Your unique name stuck with me. Funny how we meet like this.”
Si-heon tilted his head.
“So. Planning to keep sitting there?”
I want to sit there.
The message in his eyes was clear. Yang Si-mon jumped up and bowed.
“N-no, I was just leaving. Ga-eun, let’s go. I’m sorry, but we’ll have to continue another time…”
“No. Only you’re leaving. She stays.”
“P-pardon?”
“I have business with ‘our Ga-eun.'”
Si-heon stared at Yang Si-mon, who was stammering “uh, uh.”
What are you doing? Get lost.
Understanding the man’s intent through his gaze alone, Yang Si-mon’s face reddened as he left.
‘What in the world is happening?’
Si-heon sat across from Ga-eun, who was still trying to process the situation with a dazed expression.
“I’m Kwon Si-heon.”
Overwhelmed by his commanding presence, incomparable to Yang Si-mon’s, she unconsciously raised her hand to her chest.
“Shall we talk now?”
Before Ga-eun could respond, Si-heon lightly raised his hand to call a server.
Even that simple gesture carried an undeniable authority.
‘Just who is this person?’
Yang Si-mon’s reaction suggested he was someone extremely important, but that was all she could guess.
She felt even more tense than when she’d sat down for the arranged marriage meeting her father had set up.
Yang Si-mon, who even her father Gye Young-cheol had fawned over.
And this man, Kwon Si-heon, who’d dismissed him like a dog with just a word.
Definitely not a mere office worker.
A business tycoon?
Head of some dangerous organization?
As she was lost in uncertainty…
“Espresso.”
His order made Ga-eun’s expression shift subtly.
Si-heon raised an eyebrow.
“What?”
“I’ve never seen someone order espresso before.”
“Well, you said you’ve never met men before.”
His small nod seemed deliberately mocking.
He was clearly teasing her about Yang Si-mon’s earlier comment about her never having dated.
“Ah. Wasn’t it that you’d never even held hands?”
“…”
“Won’t hold hands with men, but you’ll share a bed with them, our dear Ga-eun?”
Her cheeks flushed as she clenched her jaw, glaring.
Si-heon couldn’t help but smirk.
She was trying her hardest to look threatening, but with her naturally gentle features, it had no effect.
“Let me be direct. Let’s continue the marriage meetings.”
“What?”
“With me.”
Ha. Ga-eun looked at him in disbelief, but Si-heon’s expression remained unchanged.
He spoke as if discussing a predetermined schedule.
“I’m surely better than that old man. Age, looks, wealth, and of course… stamina. You know that well.”
His suggestive addition made her face burn red.
“You’re being rude.”
“Who is?”
“You are.”
“Kwon Si-heon.”
“…”
