Bound by a Ruthless Contract - Chapter 28
“I’ll call Si-heon.”
Si-heon.Gye Young-cheol drew in a breath at that familiar form of address.
The mother and daughter who had heard that form of address earlier still couldn’t get used to it either.
Under the gaze of the three people, Ga-eun pressed Si-heon’s name that she had saved earlier to make the call.
After just a few rings, a low voice came through.
[So this is what I’ll have to do to hear our Ga-eun’s voice from now on.]
“What’s going on?”
What do you mean what’s going on?
“I mean the wreaths. We never talked about anything like this.”
[It seemed like our Ga-eun might try to run away. So I needed to leave my mark somehow.]
“Hah… Isn’t this going too far, even so?”
[If each employee takes a few flowers, that should work out. They can use them as decorations here and there. Or they can plant them or donate them.]
“Mr. Kwon Si-heon.”
Gye Young-cheol’s jaw dropped.
“Is-, is it really, really Kwon Si-heon? The eldest grandson that Chairman Kwon Soon-yeol treasures so much?”
Young-cheol’s excited voice unconsciously grew louder.
Seemingly having heard this, Si-heon spoke.
[It seems they still can’t believe it.]
“Well, it is rather sudden.”
[Perhaps I should prove it then.]
“…Perhaps so.”
Si-heon chuckled at Ga-eun’s response. Why did her heart flutter at that sound?
[Let’s switch to video call. We can’t have needless suspicion preventing me from marrying our Ga-eun.]
Shortly after the call ended, a video call came in from Si-heon.
[Hello. This is Kwon Si-heon of Hwanhee Group. Since it seems you can’t believe it.]
His calm, low voice carried an intimidating presence that weighed heavily on the listeners’ hearts.
The Si-heon on screen looked exactly like the young Chairman Kwon Soon-yeol they’d seen in old photographs.
“Is… is this really Mr. Kwon Si-heon?”
When So-yeon asked with a trembling voice, Young-cheol quickly stopped his daughter with wide eyes and a sharp intake of breath.
[Yes, I am indeed Kwon Si-heon. Please contact the Youngso Hotel. You’ll find that Black Grade membership has been approved. Since you seem to have trouble believing.]
Black Grade? The one that’s impossible to get into even with enormous wealth due to their strict internal standards?
It was a position the Gye family couldn’t even dream of.
So-yeon, who had worn an expression of disbelief, immediately called Youngso Hotel with eyes full of determination.
Just you try lying.
[…Yes, that’s correct. Mr.Gye Young-cheol, Ms. Woo Ji-hyang, and Ms.Gye So-yeon have all been approved for Black Grade membership as of today. You can start using the services from this moment.]
Everyone’s jaws dropped at the words coming through So-yeon’s speakerphone.
Really, really that Kwon Si-heon?
[You all seem very surprised. I got a bit hasty, worried that someone might take our Ga-eun away.]
“Our Ga-eun.”
Si-heon’s way of saying “our Ga-eun” was several times more shocking than Ga-eun’s
“Si-heon.”
“Oh my, take her away! Who would dare think such a thing, who would dare…”
Gye Young-cheol was about to bow his head to the phone Ga-eun was holding.
The man who ruled like a king at home was now stumbling over his words before Kwon Si-heon, who was several years his junior. If they had met in person, he might have actually bowed.
Ga-eun felt pitiful and pathetic about her situation of being helpless before such a person.
‘When we get married, and when we divorce… I’ll leave for a place where Gye Young-cheol can no longer control us as he pleases.’
As she made this resolution, she almost cried out at Kwon Si-heon’s next words.
