Bound by a Ruthless Contract - Chapter 62
After carrying her to the bathroom, Si-heon had gently placed her in the jacuzzi and lathered his hands with soap.
Saying she should feel honored, as he’d never washed anyone before.
Of course, Ga-eun had refused in shock, but there was no escaping Si-heon.
At first, he meticulously washed her body, marked red in places by his own doing.
Then their eyes met, sparks flew, and bodies came together immediately.
After that, all she remembered was trembling under his touch, letting soft moans escape her lips.
He wouldn’t even grant her request to borrow clothes.
As their bodies intertwined in the steam-filled space, dizziness overcame her, and her vision grew hazy.
When she could barely stand from exhaustion, Si-heon wrapped her in a bathrobe and carried her to the bedroom.
Well, she thought, at least this robe is Kwon Si-heon’s, so perhaps he did grant her second request in a way.
With this thought, Ga-eun let all tension leave her body.
She didn’t care anymore.
“At least I granted your final request.”
“That… wasn’t my request…”
Ga-eun’s vision wavered. Sleep was clearly approaching.
“I’ll lend you clothes to wear to work.”
“How can I go to work wearing Mr. Kwon Si-heon’s clothes…”
Si-heon, holding her from behind, gave a crooked smile.
How proper she was, his Ga-eun.
Even in this situation, she didn’t forget to call him “Mr. Kwon Si-heon.”
She was more thorough than he’d expected, and normally that should have pleased him.
Why then did this twisted feeling in his gut refuse to unfold?
“Then do you plan to go to work in just this bathrobe?”
“Tomorrow… I can stop by home… change clothes…”
Her voice grew fainter. Sleep was clearly taking hold.
“You don’t look like you’ll be able to get up.”
“I will… I have to…”
At her words—whether a response or sleep-talking, he couldn’t tell—Si-heon’s sharp gaze softened slightly.
It was surprisingly intriguing to watch her like this: so proper she wouldn’t miss his formal title even in exhaustion, yet showing such vulnerability.
“Mr. Kwon Si-heon…”
Yes, even at a moment like this.
“Yes?”
“Good night…”
His pupils dilated in an instant.
It was a greeting he hadn’t heard since he was very young.
His parents had left Jungshimwon early, leaving him behind in their desire to escape the group’s shadow, and while his grandfather loved his lone grandson, he was too busy then to stay by his side until he fell asleep.
After becoming independent, he had lived alone, making such greetings even more impossible to come by.
Was it because he hadn’t heard such an ordinary greeting in so long that it felt so fresh?
Or was it because it came from Gye Ga-eun?
Having posed these questions, Ga-eun fell into a peaceful sleep without waiting for answers.
“You’re quite willful in your own quiet way.”
And why didn’t he mind that fact?
Ga-eun kept presenting him with questions he couldn’t answer.
His interest in her wouldn’t fade until these mysteries were solved.
Si-heon closed his eyes. A smile formed on his lips.
At least he was certain of one thing – he would wake up feeling refreshed tomorrow.
And so he drifted off to sleep, holding this woman who didn’t realize she was his remedy.
The night deepened quietly around them.

Sung Won-gyu ended the call and bowed to Chairman Kwon Soon-yeol.
“Chairman, Ms. Gye Ga-eun has arrived at work.”
Kwon Soon-yeol nodded and removed his reading glasses.
“Good. I need to see that young lady today.”
