Bound by a Ruthless Contract - Chapter 75
Gye So-yeon ‘s jaw dropped even wider than before.
“Our Ga-eun,” he had said.
How could such an endearing term come from that cold face of his?
“You… call her that…? Our Ga-eun…?”
“I’m asking because I don’t know well.”
Si-heon pulled out a cigarette pack from his jacket’s inner pocket.
“In a sisterly relationship, do you also interfere with what the younger sister’s future husband calls her?”
He asked indifferently while placing a cigarette between his lips.
“Do you also slap faces when things go wrong?”
TANG-
The sound of the oil lighter’s cap opening echoed unusually loud.
“I’m wondering if crossing boundaries so rudely is normal.”
Si-heon brought the lighter close to the cigarette in his mouth, but didn’t light it.
He just stared at the flickering flame.
Yet So-yeon felt an intense pressure, as if being choked.
His entire body was sending a message.
Be prepared if you say the wrong thing.
“You’re not answering.”
Her lips went dry. Her throat tightened.
While Kwon Si-heon terrified her… she was also insanely drawn to him.
“Are you going to keep me waiting?”
Si-heon muttered as he closed the oil lighter with a sharp snap.
“I won’t tolerate it. Except for our Ga-eun.”
He began chewing on the white filter.
Somehow, So-yeon felt like that filter was herself, and she wrapped her arms around her goosebump-covered forearms.
“I-I heard. That you’re sensitive about Ga-eun being hurt.”
A pause. Si-heon stopped moving.
“But it was a mistake. I was stretching and didn’t see Ga-eun beside me. Like a fool, she couldn’t avoid it and got hit… She tends to exaggerate things…”
“So that’s what Gye Ga-eun said.”
Si-heon cut off So-yeon ‘s words, his eyes gleaming coldly.
“That I’m sensitive about her being hurt.”
So-yeon pressed her lips tightly and nodded her head frantically.
Then something astonishing happened.
Si-heon smiled.
It was merely a slight upward curl of his lips for the briefest moment, but it was undeniably a smile.
As she stared at him with disbelief, Si-heon held the cigarette in his hand, looking down at it while muttering,
“So our Ga-eun said that.”
W-why did his mood suddenly improve?
While So-yeon stood there dumbfounded, she suddenly flinched as something whooshed past her side.
Turning her head, she saw the cigarette that Si-heon had been holding now lying on the floor.
“Pick it up.”
“W-why should I…”
“It would be better if you picked it up.”
Si-heon nodded his head lightly a few times.
“Then we’ll end it here for today.”
“W-what exactly are we ending…”
“Do you think I’m easy?”
“…”
“Why do you keep asking questions? As if you want things to go wrong.”
So-yeon immediately shut her mouth at Si-heon’s eyes that had suddenly turned cold.
“Pick it up. On your knees, head bowed.”
It was terrifying… yet sublime.
Something about this frightening man watching her, commanding her, was somehow exciting.
Would he be like this with Ga-eun too?
At night, in bed?
These weren’t appropriate thoughts to have about her younger sister’s future husband, but once her imagination started, it ran wild.
She was confident she could do everything Kwon Si-heon commanded.
If he were to choose her, she would willingly obey and submit to any demand.
So-yeon lowered herself slowly, gazing at Si-heon’s emotionless eyes in what she hoped was a seductive manner.
At that moment.
The automatic door opened with a whirring sound.
“Ga-eun.”
As So-yeon turned her head, she saw Ga-eun looking back and forth between Si-heon and herself with a surprised expression.
So-yeon froze.
