Can Someone (Anyone!) Please Turn Off the Auto-Skill Setting?! - Chapter 36
IV.
Aaron felt his body relax, yet his mind was surprisingly clear. The reason was simple.
“I’ve broken my vow…”
He had lost his chastity—completely and without ambiguity. But he felt not a single shred of regret. He finally understood why people couldn’t quit once they’d had a taste of intimacy.
Once, then twice. He’d held onto Nancy, thrusting relentlessly from dusk until dawn, until his body was thoroughly exhausted. Despite his fatigue, his skin felt more vibrant than usual. What a strange sensation.
Aaron glanced at the woman sleeping soundly beside him.
She had been furious, crying about how he never seemed to run out of desire, complaining about her exhaustion and dehydration. Now, she was fast asleep, so deeply that even a demon attack wouldn’t wake her.
“I thought she’d be some kind of villainess…”
All his life, he had feared the woman who would steal everything from him and ruin his future. Yet now, face to face with his supposed adversary, she wasn’t scary at all.
“If she hears this, she might be angry, but honestly, she looks kind of pathetic. Why are her eyes so swollen?”
Aaron didn’t realize they were puffy from crying all night because of him. He brushed her hair behind her ear and studied her face more closely. Not having seen a real woman’s face in so long, he wasn’t sure, but objectively speaking, her swollen face didn’t look very attractive. Still, just looking at her triggered something within him.
I thought I’d had enough… but maybe I haven’t?
As Aaron felt the heat rising within him again, he leaned down and planted a secret kiss on her sleeping face. One kiss led naturally to another.
He pressed his lips more firmly where he had kissed her before, sucking lightly until a sound escaped. His intention had been to watch her wake up peacefully, but he couldn’t hold back.
“Wake up.”
Aaron exhaled heavily as he gently bit her earlobe. True to form, Nancy flinched in her sleep, her body instinctively reacting to the sensitive touch. Yet, she was too tired to fully wake up.
Aaron persisted, nibbling and teasing her ear to rouse her. He told himself that his motives were pure, that he only wanted to have a serious conversation about their future together.
Once they returned to the Order, he would undoubtedly be expelled. Then what would come next? His younger brother had already taken over the family responsibilities, so there was no need to worry about that. Even if someone tried to force him back into the heir’s role, his brother would be overwhelmed.
“You have that shop. Maybe I could help you out there. You’ll need more hands to run it, after all.”
Aaron nodded to himself, recalling the whole popcorn incident. Working together at the shop might be a good way to build their relationship. It could even lead to marriage…
“Nancy, wake up. Now.”
“Ugh, what?”
She finally stirred, her eyes fluttering open. Swollen from sleep, her eyes struggled to stay open, and Aaron couldn’t help but chuckle.
“It’s already morning,” he said.
Nancy glanced around, her heavy eyelids drooping before she tried to fall back asleep again. Aaron playfully bit her nose, causing her to shriek and snap her eyes wide open.
“I just got some rest, and you’re already bothering me again.”
Nancy glared at him and pushed him away. She ached all over, as if there wasn’t a single part of her body that wasn’t sore. She felt more exhausted than when she had first used the Swordmaster Possession skill.
With great effort, she sat up, exhaling sharply. Meanwhile, Aaron lay back, casually watching her.
He looked far too relaxed for her liking. To Nancy, his smug face seemed to practically scream arrogance, as if it were written in bold letters.
She decided it was time to draw a firm line.
“Yesterday, we were both just… too excited, and we made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes once, so let’s just forget about it and go back to how things were before.”
Please don’t suddenly get suspicious again, accusing me of dealing with demons like a madman.
Nancy swallowed those words and cleared her throat. Whether Aaron was deep in thought or found her tone irritating, he didn’t reply. Instead, a notification window appeared.
Eh—?
