Cinderella is... the Male Lead? - Chapter 59
“Aigooo…”
Rona leaned against the headboard of the bed, groaning like a patient lying in a sickbed. After being tormented by Cinderella for three days straight, her entire body ached, and she felt numb below. She shifted her hips slightly, then squeezed her eyes shut. The soreness of her s-x was one thing, but the bruises on her hips from the constant pounding against his firm pelvis were excruciating.
“This is insane, really.”
How could someone so beautiful have such boundless energy? Rona shuddered at the memory of Cinderella’s animalistic movements. Perhaps this was a different expression of the altered plot of the novel.
Instead of being thrown into the air, dismembered, and reassembled as a necromancer’s minion, she faced an ending where she might die of exhaustion in bed. At this rate, her horrifying imagination might become reality.
As Rona’s face turned pale from her dreadful thoughts, she heard a knock on the door, followed by a servant’s voice.
“Lady Rona, the dressmaker is here.”
“Oh? Ah… yes, please ask them to wait a moment.”
Rona forced her trembling body up and started to get dressed. Her reflection in the mirror was pitiful. Dark circles under her eyes made her look sickly, and there were dried blood scabs on her lips. She made her way to the parlor on shaky legs, where Cinderella sat on the sofa, looking perfectly fine. His face shone as if he had eaten some nourishing food.
Showing a bit of conscience, he wore a white dress shirt and black slacks. If he had cross-dressed after behaving like an animal for days, Rona would have been disgusted, but at least he spared her that.
Normally, Rona would have started with a comment like “You’re dressed properly for once” and launched into a barrage of conversation, but now even talking seemed too burdensome. She barely managed to wave hello before sitting down far away from him. Despite the effort, she felt a stinging pain in a very private place, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Cinderella, observing her with an inexplicable smile, gave some instructions to the dressmaker. In her dazed state, Rona could only hear a buzzing sound. She stood when told to stand and sat when told to sit, not even fully aware of what was happening as her dress fitting ended.
Gasp!
Rona’s mind returned when food entered her mouth. At lunch, she stuffed herself until her stomach was full, and her eyes gradually regained their spark. Sipping tea with a slice of cake, she finally spoke her first words of the day.
“What’s with the dress?”
“You’re the one who called for it.”
“That’s not what I meant. I mean, no way…”
The reason for calling the dressmaker was solely due to Cinderella. But now she knew Cinderella was a perfectly healthy man. The dressmaker had taken measurements for both her and Cinderella. She wondered if Cinderella couldn’t give up his cross-dressing hobby and had ordered a new dress.
‘Could he be planning to attend the ball in a dress?’
When she thought Cinderella was a woman, she worried he wouldn’t go to the ball. Now she worried he might actually go.
With such a beautiful face and the ability to change his body with magic, others could easily be fooled as she was. But this cross-dressing hobby was better kept private. There was no need to make a grand debut with such a perverted inclination at the cost of his family’s honor.
‘What happened in the novel again? I think the ball scene was described briefly. Looking back, it seems quite suspicious.’
Rona’s thoughts were interrupted when Cinderella reached over, wiped the cream from her lips, and sucked it into his mouth. Startled, Rona stared blankly as he opened his mouth to speak.
“Why did you stop talking?”
“Don’t tell me… You’re planning to wear a dress to the ball, right?”
“Oh, not a dress. A suit. And about the ball, there’s no need to go anymore.”
‘No need to go anymore?’ Balls were not frequent events. They were important occasions for both noblewomen and men to make connections. Rona’s eyes widened in confusion.
“Huh?”
“No need to go… Well, I do have to go to the capital. I promised to meet my father on the day of the ball. Good thing we had clothes tailored.”
There was no need to explain the complicated circumstances of holding a ball to Rona. A simple letter explaining the situation would make the king happily wait for him. Cinderella, distracted by Rona, had almost forgotten about his promise to his father.
His father would also be genuinely happy. Thanks to the new bride, his son wouldn’t need to take any forced awakening potions. Moreover, marrying someone he loved was a rare joy. Therefore, to introduce Rona to the king and his father, attending the ball was necessary. Since Rona had helped him achieve perfect awakening, no one would care about her background or past occupations. It would be a genuinely blessed marriage.
Cinderella was already planning the wedding march, assuming Rona would not refuse. He couldn’t imagine her saying no.
