Disastrous Romance - Chapter 6
Chapter 6
“Honestly, I don’t think I can handle the Kai route,” she mumbled, shaking her head as hazy memories of a graphic scene from years ago resurfaced.
Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t realize how much time had passed until the sound of water from the bathroom stopped. Soon, a radiant Kai, his body gleaming, approached her.
“I… I’m done showering, Mistress.”
His long eyelashes drooped sorrowfully. Or, rather, that’s how it appeared. His face remained devoid of emotion.
“Ah…”
Elijah, caught off guard, swallowed nervously. A strange thirst had suddenly taken hold of her.
His hair, still damp, shimmered with a brilliant silver sheen. Like a precious mineral, pure silver strands dripped with transparent droplets. His exposed face resembled a meticulously sculpted statue, his body a flawless tapestry of lean muscle.
Seeing him clean and fresh, his beauty struck her with a force that made her heart ache. Without a doubt, Kai was the most handsome man she had ever seen.
A shiver of excitement ran from her toes to her head.
‘Could this be… the peerless man?’
For the first time, Elijah entertained the idea that the Kai route might not be so bad after all.
“Mistress?”
The low voice that echoed in her ear sent shivers down her spine. The blue eyes that met hers were clear and deep. Was that the color of a lake nestled in the heart of the Alps…?
That was as far as her thoughts got before she realized she was staring into his eyes. Startled, she took a step back.
“Ah, your eyes are beautiful.”
She bit her lower lip, belatedly realizing the impulsiveness of her words. That wasn’t what she meant to say. She glanced at him cautiously, but he didn’t react. Taking a deep breath, she regained her composure.
“…Sit down. I have something to tell you.”
She tapped the space beside her on the bed, and he sat down, keeping a respectful distance. She couldn’t focus with his gaze on her, so she deliberately looked at the empty space in front of her and began to speak.
“I don’t actually intend to use you as a slave. If you want to leave, you can go tomorrow… if you agree to one condition.”
She heard a rustling sound beside her. Her head felt strangely hot, but she kept her gaze fixed ahead.
“Spend the night with me.”
Thankfully, her voice didn’t waver. She clasped his cold hand and waited patiently, her heart pounding in her chest like a drumbeat. The passing time seemed to be measured by the frantic rhythm of her pulse.
Whether it was stillness or a thunderbolt, a self-deprecating voice provided the answer.
“Ah, a night, you say.”
She turned her head instinctively, finding him with a slightly tilted smile. It was almost as if he had expected this.
She wasn’t sure, but she had a feeling he was misunderstanding something. Elijah tried to explain.
“I’m serious. Just tonight. After that, you can do whatever you want. I won’t even use the binding magic.”
He stared at her for a long moment, assessing her sincerity. She tried to find the right words to defend herself, her lips moving several times, but she couldn’t find anything suitable and bit her lip instead.
It was difficult to meet his clear blue eyes directly. She blinked, trying to focus her gaze, which kept blurring.
While she was lost in her thoughts, forgetting her own words, he reached out his hand.
“Then, let it be so.”
“…?”
The once-clear blue eyes, like a lake, had turned as dark as the deep sea. She was distracted by the subtle shift in temperature, and she didn’t immediately grasp the meaning of his words.
His rough hand moved swiftly, stripping her of her clothes. Before she could react, he grabbed the back of her neck.
“What… what are you…!”
He didn’t let her finish. His hot tongue invaded her parted lips, swirling around her delicate mouth with unrestrained force.
She reached out to push him away, but her hands were easily subdued. He imprisoned her wrists in one of his hands.
The large hand that encircled her neck sent strange sensations through her body. The hot, moist flesh of his tongue brushing against her palate sent shivers down her spine, reaching her lower abdomen.
“Hmm.”
Only then did Elijah recall her own words. A night. The simple word, perhaps mundane in its sound, held a hot meaning, just like the tongue that was currently exploring her mouth.
“Ugh!”
He pressed deeper, forcing her mouth open. She tried to pull back, but he held her neck firmly, pulling her closer. Finally, unable to withstand his weight, her back hit the bed.
She opened her eyes wide, and he smiled playfully, his eyes sparkling as he caressed her cheek.
