Don't Be Holy! - Chapter 61
Rubel couldn’t help but be puzzled. On the first day of their journey, one of the female priests had searched Eir’s body but found nothing. Rubel had ordered her to search again five times, and even on the second day, they checked five more times in case something changed depending on the time of day. Still, nothing was found.
‘We even checked her scalp. I’m sorry to say this, but I really don’t want to see that woman’s naked body anymore.’
‘At this rate, I might start getting attached to her, so please stop.’
After that incident, Eir no longer had to strip completely in front of the female priests. However, Rubel had never heard of a witch being able to hide her mark, so the unresolved question continued to haunt him.
“So, I’m telling you, I’m not a witch.”
Eir spoke as if exasperated. It was a repeated statement of her position.
Rubel, feeling it was no longer worth listening to, tried to push Eir off the bed with his foot. But Eir, realizing what he was doing, immediately clung to his leg, causing her soft chest to press against his knee.
Eir, having initiated the action herself, suddenly felt embarrassed and twisted her body slightly. But then Rubel remembered that the female priests had checked Eir’s scalp but hadn’t mentioned checking the soles of her feet. He grabbed her ankle.
Was another situation comparable to the near-assault from before about to unfold? Eir was startled by his touch.
“What is it? Again?”
“Stay still.”
As he said this, he pulled her ankle sharply, stretching her leg forward, and quickly removed her sock. Seeing that there was nothing on the sole of her right foot, he sat up and grabbed her other calf.
Eir, not understanding what he was doing, quickly twisted her body and tried to escape to the other side, shouting,
“From where I’m standing, you’re using the excuse of not being a saint to shamelessly do all sorts of perverted things!”
Her ankle twisted in his grip. She tried to return to the floor while lying face down.
Meanwhile, Rubel, who had grabbed her ankle, removed the other sock and checked the sole of her left foot. Seeing that there was nothing there either, he furrowed his brows.
“Why is removing socks considered perverted?”
“Because that’s how it starts!”
“Ah, so you’re hoping this leads to something more?”
Rubel genuinely didn’t know why he asked that, but to Eir, it felt unbearably smug. Pretending not to know! After fondling her chest the moment he took off her clothes!
The bruise he left on her chest took a long time to fade, and every time the female priest who had examined her body saw it, she would look embarrassed and turn her head away.
At that moment, Rubel’s hand trailed up from her ankle to her calf, and he flipped her onto her back, climbing over her. It was the exact same position as before, when everything had happened.
Eir, unable to help herself, cried out like a true believer.
“I’ll talk.”
Rubel finally stopped and gave her time to speak, as if he were willing to listen. His outstretched hand rested beside her head, and the feeling of being trapped under his body made Eir’s throat tighten.
Their eyes met, and Rubel leaned closer, tilting his head toward her. His gaze seemed to say, “Even like this, you won’t talk?”
His face drew closer. Even so, it was somewhat amusing that a man who knew nothing about s*x was threatening her like this, but at the same time, considering what he had done before, he might have some perverse genius in him.
She had to say something quickly.
Eir thought about it, but someone who usually told the truth and had nothing to hide wouldn’t know what to do in a situation like this.
After some hesitation, she finally spoke.
“I told you. Grandma cursed me, and everyone lost their memories of me.”
“Ha.”
Rubel sighed as if bored and leaned back. His sharp jawline stood out against the pale night, and Eir suddenly became acutely aware of the masculine contours of his body compared to hers.
Eir fidgeted with her hand on the bed and rolled her eyes before speaking.
“Originally, the root mark appears on cursed people too. It’s just that it’s usually invisible, so people don’t know about it.”
“I’ve never heard that before.”
He raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing her. Eir ignored him and continued.
