For My Birthday, I Was Gifted Five Husbands - Chapter 29
The second ‘first night’ had finally arrived. This time, it would take place in the Duke’s bedroom, illuminated by just one lamp.
Although it was her second time, Eugenie felt a bit awkward and hesitant. There was still a lingering sense of unfamiliarity with her partner.
‘That dog collar…’
The duke had cautiously corrected her, referring to it as a ‘restraint collar’, but there was no denying that it looked like a dog collar…
Just then, the bathroom door attached to the bedroom creaked open. Hot steam billowed out as a tall man stepped into view, backlit by the light.
“Madam.”
“Eek!”
Eugenie instinctively held her breath and clutched the collar tightly.
His wet black hair glistened like a raven’s wing in the light. And whether it was due to the heat from the bathroom or his excitement… his skin from his neck down to his chest was flushed a reddish hue, as if someone had added color to a marble statue.
…Eugenie’s eyes unintentionally drifted downward again. The Duke was only wearing a white bathrobe.
‘Well, there’s no need for him to wear pants if he’s going to take them off anyway.’
However, because he was an ‘unfamiliar partner,’ she had worn less revealing underwear than before. She was dressed in an ivory satin camisole and matching satin undies.
But before she could feel more awkward, the duke gently took her hand and guided her.
“Madam, this way.”
Of course, to the bed.
As she was led, Eugenie felt her ears heat up again.
‘What will it be like to sleep with this man?’
She felt a little scared, but curiosity kept bubbling up inside her…
The Duke slowly leaned against the headboard, and Eugenie crawled onto his lap. She needed to fasten the collar.
…She decided to momentarily ignore the blunt presence of his member beneath her thighs. With her violet eyes focused intently, she whispered,
“Then, I’ll put this collar on you.”
“…Please do.”
The thick collar slid around the Duke’s muscular neck, resting above his pronounced Adam’s apple.
Thanks to the high-quality leather that had been carefully tanned, it seemed unlikely to cause any injury, even against his skin. After securing it loosely enough for him to breathe comfortably, Eugenie whispered softly,
“Um… I think this should be alright.”
“Well then, Madam.”
Clink, with the smooth sound, the collar was in place.
The sound of the smooth chains clinking together was oddly intriguing. Percival handed Eugenie the silver chain attached to the center of the dog collar. The pose was lascivious, yet the man wearing the collar was so serious that Eugenie held it with a reverent mindset, as if presenting in front of a professor.
“You need to hold onto this tightly.”
“Yes.”
“If I go too far, you must pull on it without hesitation.”
“Y-yes…”
Eugenie fumbled awkwardly with the chain.
She still couldn’t quite believe the things she had heard from the Duke before starting this first night.
“Are you aware that our family is known as the family of monsters?”
She had heard the legend of the Troys family possessing ‘the bloodline of monsters’. However, sanctifying one’s bloodline seemed more like an ostentatious display to cement class superiority.
‘But the Duke doesn’t seem like the type to do that…’
She was worried that because of his blood, Eugenie might be in danger…
But just then, as the moonlight illuminated the room, her doubts momentarily faded.
“Wow…”
His body gleamed like polished marble. Every time the finely chiseled muscles twitched beneath her touch, it felt as if life had been breathed into the statue. The combination of firmness and elasticity in his muscles was intoxicating.
‘It really feels different from Alfred.’
Even though both men enjoyed intense physical activity, their bodies were clearly distinct.
As she admired the feel of his chest muscles, a somewhat embarrassed voice came from the face above her.
“Uh, Madam…”
“Ah, yes?”
“Touching my chest like that is… a bit.”
The Duke covered his mouth with one hand and mumbled,
“A bit… embarrassing.”
“…I’m sorry.”
Eugenie subtly withdrew her naughty hand. However, her eyes remained fixed on the Duke’s face, now flushed with embarrassment.
‘Hmm, it’s kind of cute.’
Though Cassius Lysander was technically the youngest…
‘He seems more like a cunning little fox than cute.’
That wasn’t all. The Duke took Eugenie’s hand and spoke carefully.
“And I’d prefer it if you could dim the lights a bit more.”
“W-what? Even darker than this?”
“…The sight you may see in the future might not be very pleasing.”
