Summary

After an accident during a free visit to a newly opened museum, Elinne opens her eyes to find three goddesses staring down at her.

“Present this golden apple to the fairest goddess of them all.”

Unwilling to ruin her life for the sake of beauty—as in the ancient myths—Elinne chooses to hand the golden apple to the goddess of wisdom, hoping to return to her peaceful life.

But the enraged goddess of beauty traps her in an ugly man’s palace.

“Please, let me go. Or at least show me your face!”

[If you see my true form, you can never leave this place.]

Hidden behind bronze armor, Varkanus—the palace’s master—refuses to reveal himself until the very end.

“In what way is this man ugly? Clearly, the gods have gone blind.”

But under Elinne’s sunny presence, his armor starts falling apart, piece by piece.

Eventually, Elinne discovers a way to escape and begins to distance herself. Varkan, with sorrowful eyes, whispers softly:

“You called me beautiful before.”
“Now… do you also find me ugly?”

…Isn’t it unfair to use beauty against her like this?

Can Elinne truly escape the curse of the gods?
