How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 114
“…ticia.”
It was a familiar voice, one that was warm and comforting. Leticia opened her eyes, following the sound of someone calling her name.
Gasp!
Leticia, drenched in cold sweat and panting heavily as if she were about to collapse, abruptly lifted her head.
“Leticia?”
“Huff, huff.”
In front of her stood Richelle, the same person who had pushed her down the stairs to die, now wearing an innocent expression.
Richelle tilted her head, puzzled by Leticia’s pale complexion, and reached out to place a hand on her forehead.
As Richelle’s hand approached, Leticia flinched and slapped it away with a loud smack.
“Ouch! Leticia, what’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?”
“What are you?”
Leticia glared at Richelle with fierce suspicion.
“What do you mean, what am I? I’m your friend, Richelle. What’s going on? Did you come to class drunk? You don’t smell like alcohol, though.”
“What?”
Leticia looked around, still on edge. The last thing she remembered was dusk falling, but now the sun was high in the sky.
The sound of people packing up their bags, chatting, and pushing their chairs back filled the air—a completely ordinary scene and noise that Leticia took in through her ears and eyes.
What… What is going on? Why am I here?
Moreover, her body was perfectly fine, far too unscathed for someone who had supposedly tumbled down a flight of stairs. Leticia instinctively felt her body and then looked back at Richelle.
The worry in Richelle’s eyes seemed genuine, not an act.
“Leticia, you’re acting really strange today. What’s wrong? Have you not been sleeping well because of Vallon?”
“What?”
The mention of Vallon from Richelle’s mouth made Leticia’s body react as if she’d been stabbed with a needle.
“Ugh, Leticia, he’s staring at you again. It’s so creepy.”
Leticia followed Richelle’s gaze to where Vallon stood. But instead of the Vallon she had seen yesterday, this was the old Vallon, with his long, unkempt black hair and thick glasses, standing at the back of the classroom, staring directly at Leticia.
What is happening? Leticia’s mind was in chaos.
“Leticia, let’s get out of here. He’s really weird. It feels like he’s about to cause some trouble.”
Richelle grabbed Leticia’s arm, and Leticia hesitantly stood up, allowing herself to be led out of the classroom, away from Vallon’s unsettling gaze.
Even as Richelle chatted incessantly beside her, Leticia couldn’t hear a word. Her mind was too preoccupied with the bizarre situation.
After parting ways with Richelle, Leticia returned to her dorm room and collapsed onto her bed with a dazed expression.
Why is Vallon back to looking like that? And why is Richelle pretending like nothing’s wrong, acting like we’re best friends again?
Leticia’s gaze drifted to the window.
“The leaves are falling…?”
It was clearly autumn. The leaves were turning yellow and red, falling from the trees, even though it should have been spring.
Rushing over to the desk, Leticia checked the calendar.
“How can this be…?”
She had no idea how it had happened, but time had somehow rewound. It was as if everything that had happened was nothing more than a bad dream, and she was back to the time when nothing had gone wrong.
Am I possessed?
Leticia slapped her cheek hard, producing a loud smack. But she wasn’t sure if it hurt. Did it hurt, or didn’t it?
The idea that time had gone back felt so surreal that her senses weren’t fully registering it. When she slapped herself again, she finally felt a faint sting, but it wasn’t enough to make her cry.
“This isn’t a dream?”
If this was reality, then had everything that happened up to now just been a dream?
She couldn’t believe it. Could it all really have been a dream? Something so vivid—how could it have been just a dream? Was this another one of Vallon’s tricks?
But as days passed, Leticia’s doubts gradually faded. She had woken up from a terrifyingly long nightmare.
Leticia savored the moment of waking up from that nightmare.
Everything had returned to its rightful place.
Kyle, Richelle, her parents’ trading company. None of them were under Vallon’s influence, and none of them had to be cautious around him anymore.
Freedom.
It felt like she could do anything now. She was determined never to get involved with that lunatic again. She no longer had any attachment to her life at the academy.
It seemed like the right decision from the start—to just follow her parents’ wishes, spend her time painting quietly, and eventually get married. All she knew for sure was that she wanted to stay as far away from Vallon as possible.
She had to go somewhere where Vallon couldn’t reach her.
…But even though everything seemed back to normal, she couldn’t shake the nagging fear that the nightmare might come true, leaving her constantly on edge.
