How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 15
In response to Leticia’s question, Vallon lifted the limp bird, showing it to her. He asked if she felt sorry for it, but there was no sign of sympathy in his expression.
Leticia’s face twisted in displeasure as she looked at him. She just wanted Vallon to disappear from her sight as soon as possible.
“Don’t you feel sorry for it? It died painfully, bleeding like that.”
Vallon’s gaze shifted to the bloodstained corpse of the bird.
“Leticia, that freak… Isn’t he that loser? Right?”
Kyle whispered to Leticia, nudging her with his elbow, referring to Vallon. Then he leaned in closer and whispered into her ear.
“Let’s get out of here. He’s as creepy as people say. Now I get why he’s being ostracized.”
“Yeah, let’s go.”
Leticia wanted to leave just as much as Kyle did. The unsettling atmosphere that Vallon was emitting made her feel suffocated.
“We’re going to leave now.”
Vallon’s eyebrow twitched at the word “we,” and he asked with a crooked tone.
“Already?”
Ignoring Vallon’s words, Leticia grabbed Kyle’s hand and turned to leave. But before they could make it out, Kyle suddenly started gasping for air, like the bird before.
“Ugh… gasp…!”
“Kyle! What’s wrong? What’s happening?”
“M-My body feels strange… ugh.”
Looking ahead, Leticia saw that Vallon’s gaze was fixed on Kyle, unmoving. Vallon had a faint smile, barely noticeable, but it was there—a disturbing smile with no clear reason behind it.
“Ugh…!”
Kyle tried to speak, but it seemed like he couldn’t get any words out. His body froze, unable to move, as if it were bound by some invisible force.
“Guh…!”
The longer Vallon’s gaze lingered on Kyle, the tighter his body seemed to constrict. Eventually, he couldn’t breathe, and his face turned a sickly shade of blue.
Seeing this, Leticia frantically grabbed Kyle’s hand, trying to assess his condition.
“Are you okay? Are you sure you’re okay?”
Just moments ago, Kyle’s hand had been warm, but now it was ice-cold. It was terrifying to see him struggling for breath, as if he was on the verge of death.
What scared her even more was Vallon, whose lips curled into a faint smile, as if he were enjoying Kyle’s torment.
“Kyle! Can’t you breathe?!”
“Guh… cough…”
Thud! Thud! Thud!
“KYAAAHHH!”
Suddenly, Kyle began slamming his head against the wall, just like the bird had done earlier. With a pained expression, he bashed his head repeatedly against the wall until blood began to flow from his forehead, and then he collapsed limply to the ground.
“This is getting boring.”
Crash!
“K-Kyle!”
As Leticia tried to rush over to Kyle, Vallon grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
“You should leave him.”
Even though there was a man lying on the floor, bleeding, Vallon didn’t seem to care at all. His cold, detached attitude, as if he were looking at an inanimate object, sent shivers down Leticia’s spine.
He seemed utterly devoid of empathy.
“W-What are you? You didn’t do this, did you…?”
It was just a feeling, but Leticia was convinced. This was all Vallon’s doing. Eric, Kyle—everything.
But did he really have that kind of power? If Vallon possessed such strength, why had he let himself be bullied for so long?
“Who knows? What kind of answer are you hoping for?”
Vallon shrugged nonchalantly, offering a vague response.
Could he really have that kind of power?
No, that couldn’t be. He was probably just acting cocky because he didn’t want to seem weak.
The idea that Vallon could possess such power didn’t make sense.
Whatever the case, the situation was too unsettling. Leticia twisted her wrist, trying to pull away, but Vallon only tightened his grip. It felt like her wrist might break at any moment.
“Ow! It hurts! Let go, you’re hurting me!”
“Sorry.”
His grip had been so tight that even after he let go, her wrist throbbed as if something were still constricting it. The red marks left on her skin irritated her. Why did she keep running into Vallon like this?
She hated his gloomy appearance. What was he, always hanging around her?
She couldn’t hide her frustration any longer.
“If you’re done here, just leave. I’ll take care of Kyle and wake him up.”
“Did you get bitten by something?”
Through the strands of his messy hair, Leticia caught a glimpse of Vallon’s unsettlingly red eyes, which were fixated on her neck.
“Don’t worry about it.”
It seemed that the mark Kyle had left on her neck when he kissed her was still visible. Just the weight of Vallon’s gaze made the area tingle, and Leticia pulled up her clothes slightly to cover her neck.
“You’d better be careful. Don’t let yourself get bitten twice.”
Vallon’s low, ominous words sounded like a warning.
