How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 2
Leticia had left her beloved family and home to enroll at Arvata Academy nine months ago. Of course, she was accompanied by her best friend, Richelle. Richelle had been her friend since they were very young and came from a minor noble family of viscount rank.
Leticia’s parents had strongly opposed the shocking news of their only daughter leaving home, but in the end, parents can’t win against their child’s wishes, and they couldn’t stop her.
Unlike other academies, Arvata Academy had a strict dormitory policy. All students were required to live in the dorms and could freely choose classes that suited their interests. Leticia wanted to find something that matched her own talents, free from her parents’ interference.
Although Leticia’s parents weren’t nobility, they were successful entrepreneurs who had prospered in every business venture they undertook. To them, Leticia was their precious, irreplaceable only child.
Having grown up in a wealthy family where her parents’ business thrived, Leticia had never experienced any hardship, much like a noble lady.
Because of her overly protective parents, Leticia could do nothing but sit and paint. But she had no interest in painting whatsoever.
Furthermore, romance was out of the question. Leticia wanted to escape the suffocating atmosphere of her home and experience love freely here.
As soon as she enrolled in Arvata Academy, Leticia became a celebrity. It was no surprise—her appearance made it impossible not to be.
Her pure, untainted blonde hair and golden eyes were a rare sight. Additionally, her porcelain-white skin, high nose bridge, and a face that was both elegant and innocent made her famous from her first day at the academy.
And Leticia was well aware of all of this. Within three months of enrolling, she had become the queen bee of Arvata.
Leticia knew exactly what her strengths were. Thanks to her pretty looks and bright, friendly personality, she was always surrounded by people, and she enjoyed it.
As an extrovert, Leticia took pride in being at the top of Arvata Academy.
Then, one day, while heading to the incinerator to throw out some trash, Leticia’s attention was drawn to a scene where several male students were bullying someone.
The boy being bullied was someone Leticia knew well.
Vallon Kattravan, the only son of the Kattravan Dukedom. Despite his prestigious family, he was a loner due to his gloomy personality and appearance.
In other words, Vallon was famous for being the complete opposite of Leticia.
Whatever the case, seeing multiple people gang up on one person was unpleasant.
Vallon was surrounded by the boys, and upon a closer look, she realized they were the notorious posse of Ribolt.
At first, Leticia had no intention of intervening since it had nothing to do with her.
‘Tsk, of all people, why did he have to run into those guys?’
Blood was smeared at the corners of Vallon’s mouth, likely from being hit, but he didn’t seem afraid of them at all. In fact, Vallon’s lack of reaction seemed to infuriate Ribolt even more, and they resumed kicking him.
After several merciless kicks, Vallon collapsed backward.
‘At this rate, he’s going to die…’
Leticia stood a short distance away, watching everything Ribolt and his gang were doing. She hesitated, wondering if she should intervene as the violence grew worse.
Wait, did I see that right?
Vallon’s lips had curled into a smile, as if he was laughing. It was a chilling sight, but Leticia brushed it off, thinking she must have been mistaken. She had probably confused Vallon’s expression of pain with a smile.
Who would laugh in such a situation?
And then, Vallon’s eyes met hers.
Even from a distance, his gaze was so intense it made her breath catch. Was he asking for help? She couldn’t pretend she hadn’t seen it—Vallon was staring directly at her, making it impossible for her to walk away.
In the end, Leticia had no choice but to step in.
“Ribolt, stop it!”
“Huh? Leticia…?”
As Leticia approached with a look of disdain, Ribolt stopped kicking Vallon, visibly flustered.
“Are you bullying someone again?”
Ribolt looked as if he was trying to explain that he wasn’t in the wrong.
“N-No, this time he started it! That crazy guy came up to me and spat in my face while I was minding my own business!”
At the time, Leticia thought Ribolt’s words were just an excuse to get out of the situation.
“Ribolt, I’m disappointed in you. I thought you had changed, but here you are, ganging up on one person like a coward.”
“No, Leticia, listen! That guy really did start it!”
Ribolt’s protests, accompanied by a look of frustration, weren’t worth listening to. Leticia had seen with her own eyes that they were all ganging up on one person.
Ribolt, who was taller and bigger than most of his peers, enjoyed picking on those weaker than him. This clearly wasn’t the first time.
