How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 21
Tap, tap.
Leticia’s heels echoed down the hallway.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew from behind her. It was strange to feel wind inside the building.
Maybe a window is open somewhere…
Step, step.
This sound wasn’t from her heels. Before, she had only felt like someone was there, but now she was certain something—or someone—was behind her. She didn’t dare look back, afraid that whatever was there might pounce on her.
She was still on the third floor, with a long way to go before reaching the first. Leticia didn’t know who or what was behind her, but a sense of foreboding crept over her. What if they intended to harm her? Fear quickened her heartbeat.
Her hands grew sweaty. She needed to lose whoever was following her. Just then, she spotted someone in a blue outfit ahead of her.
It was the same color as what Kyle had worn earlier, and the back of the person looked just like him.
“Kyle!”
Leticia called out his name and started running toward him. But the moment she moved, a loud thud echoed as she fell to the ground. Someone had grabbed her ankle, preventing her from moving forward.
In front of her, Kyle’s figure faded away like dust.
“K-Kyle!”
“You shouldn’t be calling that name here.”
Something crawled up her body. Leticia squeezed her eyes shut, trembling. It was the same feeling she had in her dream the night before. The cold, ominous voice that followed was also exactly like the one from her nightmare.
“You should only be thinking about me, Leticia.”
The thing that had grabbed her ankle called her name, and suddenly, Leticia was spun around.
“Look at me.”
The one holding her ankle was none other than Vallon, covered in blood, looking exactly as he had when she passed by him yesterday. He was now on top of her.
“G-Get off me!”
“Do you know how much it hurts when you keep avoiding me?”
Vallon’s face contorted as if he were genuinely hurt, but there was no real emotion behind his expression. It was as if he were pretending to be hurt.
“V-Vallon, what are you doing?”
This wasn’t a dream like last night. It was real, and it was dangerous. Despite Leticia’s frantic struggle, Vallon pressed his cheek against hers, slowly rubbing it against her face.
“I was hurt, you know. Why did you leave me there? It hurts…”
Vallon’s behavior was frightening, and no matter how hard Leticia fought, she couldn’t escape from him.
Then, something hard between Vallon’s legs began to press against her thigh. There was no mistaking what it was. Even as he spoke pitifully, pleading with her, Vallon’s body was reacting in a completely different way—it was terrifying.
“How could you ignore a hurt friend, Leticia? Do you have any idea how much it feels like my heart is being split in two every time you turn away from me?”
“Ah… No, stop!”
“I’m in so much pain. I want to be inside you, Leticia.”
No! Disgusting!
“Stop it!”
Suddenly, Leticia’s golden eyes flew open. People in the classroom, who had been packing their bags as class ended, were now staring at her after she screamed.
Leticia looked around.
The sun hadn’t set yet, and she wasn’t alone.
“Ha… it was a dream. Ha ha…”
Leticia let out a bitter laugh. It had been another nightmare.
She was so relieved it was only a dream.
Not wanting to be left alone in the large classroom, Leticia quickly stood up. As she did, she locked eyes with Vallon, who was picking up a pencil that had fallen beneath her seat.
Without his glasses, Leticia found herself staring directly into his red eyes, and she instinctively took a step back.
“Oh…”
Why is he staring at me like that? Is he still angry about yesterday?
The Vallon from her dream was different from the Vallon standing in front of her, yet the unease remained, making it hard for her to meet his gaze.
His face was still covered in yesterday’s injuries. The blood had been washed away, but the bruises and scabs were evident.
What exactly happened yesterday?
Suddenly, it occurred to her that maybe the nightmares were a result of guilt for ignoring Vallon when he was hurt.
After all, Vallon had helped her before. Was it possible that leaving him behind had left her feeling uneasy?
