How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 36
“Leticia, are you okay? It must be tough.”
“You should have been more careful!”
Kyle and Richelle were looking at Leticia with concern. Kyle held Leticia’s arm tightly, helping her walk as she struggled.
They only knew that Leticia had hurt herself by slipping in the bathroom.
There was no way she could tell them the shameful events that had happened that night, not even to her close friend Richelle. She found it hard to meet Richelle’s worried gaze directly.
“You should have been more careful…”
As Leticia leaned on her crutches, her shirt shifted slightly, revealing the skin near her collarbone. Richelle’s gaze naturally drifted toward Leticia’s pale skin, which was covered in reddish marks.
Richelle’s face flushed red as she realized what those marks were. With a strange expression, Richelle glanced between Kyle and Leticia, then leaned in to whisper softly in her ear.
“Leticia, those marks… they’re visible.”
“Marks? What are you talking about?”
“Those marks!”
Was there something on her neck? Leticia tilted her head in confusion at Richelle’s increasingly vague comments. Unable to bear it any longer, Richelle pulled Leticia’s shirt back into place and whispered again.
“Your neck—there’s visible hickeys!”
“What?”
Hickeys?
Leticia’s eyes widened in shock as she looked down. When she saw the reddish marks peeking out from the edge of her shirt, her heart sank. At first, she had assumed they were just bruises.
These marks weren’t there last night—when did they appear?
Because she had slept fitfully, she hadn’t had time to properly examine her body that morning. Leticia clutched her shirt tightly, stammering in disbelief.
What on earth is this?
Just as she was wondering if she had pinched herself while sleeping, a chill crept up the back of her neck.
She remembered the dream that had kept her awake all night—the black shadow that had climbed onto her, kissing her body everywhere.
The shadowy creature had sucked and bitten her, refusing to let her go.
She thought it had been vivid, but could a dream really leave marks on her body?
It was just a dream, wasn’t it? Was it not a dream? Suddenly, Leticia’s mind was flooded with confusion. Her hands, which gripped her shirt like a lifeline, began to tremble.
At that moment—
“Hey, Leticia, Vallon is behind us.”
Leticia’s back stiffened at the mention of Vallon’s name.
She couldn’t see him, but she could feel the cold presence behind her. A warning siren seemed to blare in her mind. The only thought she had was that she needed to get away from here immediately.
I have to avoid that lunatic!
As the thought of Vallon being behind her crossed her mind, her nxxples, which had been toyed with by the shadow monster all night, began to ache.
She was sure she was going insane. Leticia desperately tried to deny the bizarre situation she was in.
“Let’s hurry and go get lunch.”
“Oh? Uh, yeah.”
As Leticia quickened her pace, Kyle and Richelle followed her, still supporting her. She didn’t look back at Vallon, but her steps grew faster and faster.
They arrived at the bustling dining hall, and Leticia scanned the room like a hawk. Thankfully, she didn’t see the black-haired figure she was dreading. She knew well enough that Vallon rarely ate in the dining hall, but she still needed to confirm it to feel at ease.
As she stood outside, looking around instead of going in, Richelle gave her a curious look.
“Leticia, what’s been going on with you lately? You’re acting like a soldier on guard duty. It feels like you’re on edge all day long.”
“Well… I’ve just got a lot on my mind.”
“Is it because of Vallon?”
“What? How did you know?”
Richelle had noticed that Leticia hadn’t been herself for the past few days. Her face was filled with worry and anxiety.
Normally upbeat and unbothered by stress, Leticia had been acting unusually tense. Richelle had guessed something serious was going on and had been waiting for Leticia to open up, but when she didn’t, Richelle had felt hurt.
When Richelle had mentioned Vallon earlier, Leticia’s expression had instantly hardened. Her body trembled, and she shrank into herself in clear fear.
Leticia was afraid of Vallon.
Richelle, seeing her normally confident and upright friend so visibly shaken, held her hand tightly.
“How do I know? We’ve been friends for years. I can tell just by looking at your face.”
The warm touch of Richelle’s hand soothed Leticia, bringing a soft smile to her lips.
“I won’t let that creepy guy near you. I’ll stand guard if I have to!”
Tears welled up in Leticia’s eyes at Richelle’s kind words. Yes, I have a friend like this.
“Thank you, Richelle… But seriously, Vallon is completely insane. Don’t get involved with him. If you see him, stay away. Promise me, Richelle, okay?”
Leticia clutched Richelle’s small hand tightly, pleading with her earnestly.
