How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 55
She couldn’t give up the life she had regained—the warm water, the cozy home, the dresses filling her wardrobe. There was no way she could return to that hellhole.
Once her parents passed away, everything would eventually be hers. All she had to do was endure for a little while longer. Though she would continue living with them, they no longer felt like her family or protectors.
To Leticia, they were just people she would have to coexist with out of necessity. Even if it felt uneasy, she understood that she still needed them in order to maintain her previous lifestyle.
“Thank you, Leticia.”
“You’re handling this well, aren’t you?” Vallon teased.
In truth, Leticia wasn’t really hearing what her mother was saying anymore. The thought that she was involved in such a shameful act with only a thin door separating them from her mother made her stomach churn.
“Leticia, about the Young Duke of Kattravan… be cautious. While I’m grateful for his help, he gives off a dangerous atmosphere…”
“Oh… okay, I’ll handle it. Don’t worry…”
Leticia felt a cold sweat run down her back as Sharon mentioned Vallon. She didn’t know if he was listening, but the thought terrified her. Her mother, oblivious to everything, continued speaking.
“And you’ll need to get married soon. Be careful not to stir up any strange rumors. Do you understand?”
Leticia’s hair stood on end, as if she were being scolded for something she hadn’t even done yet.
She had thought everything was fine, but Sharon’s last words made Leticia glance down at the man sucking her chest.
“Ah!”
Leticia involuntarily cried out, startled by the sight of Vallon’s crimson eyes, focused and unblinking as he listened intently to the conversation outside the door. His expression was so chilling that she couldn’t help but scream.
“Is something wrong?”
“No! Don’t come in! Everything’s fine!” Leticia hastily replied.
“Alright, just remember what I said. You might not remember, but…”
“Mom, I get it! Please, just go… I’m really tired.”
She cut the conversation short before her mother could say anything more, fearing what might happen if it continued.
The sound of Sharon’s footsteps grew distant as she walked away from the door. It might have seemed like the ordeal was over, but it wasn’t.
Leticia’s attention was fixated on Vallon, who had been eerily still beneath her chest, as if lost in thought. He felt like a parasite latched onto her body.
“Va… Vallon?”
Leticia called out, her mouth dry with tension. Her heartbeat grew louder and more frantic in her chest, pounding so hard that Vallon, still pressed against her, surely could hear it too.
“Marriage…? To whom?”
Vallon asked, his voice slow and deliberate as his fingers traced down her ribs, lingering on her waist before tugging at the waistband of her skirt.
If he pulled any harder, it would slip right off. Leticia clutched her skirt tightly, wrinkling the fabric in her grip.
Vallon’s red lips curled into a sinister smile. His expression was so cold, it made her shiver. Leticia’s lower lip trembled uncontrollably.
“I asked you—has there been any talk of marriage with someone else?”
Vallon’s voice dropped to a low murmur as he tugged on her skirt, revealing the pale yellow underwear underneath.
His fingers hooked onto the waistband of her underwear, as if he was ready to pull it down. He lightly brushed his fingers over her soft, bare skin.
Leticia’s eyes darted to her bed, the one covered in crisp white sheets. This room had always been full of good memories for her. The thought of Vallon defiling it made her break out in a cold sweat.
“Stop…! There’s no one else. I’m sorry, my mom was just saying something unnecessary.”
Vallon slowly withdrew his fingers from her underwear.
“So, you’re saying you’re meant to be with me, then?”
Leticia said nothing. The idea of living with Vallon was terrifying.
If she stayed by his side, she was certain her heart wouldn’t survive the stress. Though she was currently enduring this, she still held onto the hope that someday, she would escape his grasp.
Would she really be able to escape? Could she?
She asked herself the question, but no clear answer came to mind. Over time, her weakened body and spirit had become ensnared by Vallon.
“So don’t even think about being with another man.”
“…”
“One cxck is enough for you, isn’t it?”
