How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 59
At the next gathering, and the one after that, Leticia merely exchanged brief glances with Vallon, showing no particular interest in him.
Is it because my clothes aren’t as flashy and colorful as the other kids’?
With that thought, Vallon, for the first time, complained about his clothes.
Seeing this, Leta, his mother, mistakenly thought that Vallon was becoming more like other children, throwing fits just like his peers without causing any real trouble.
But even when his clothes changed, and even when his hairstyle was altered, Leticia still paid no attention to him.
It was only then that Vallon realized the problem wasn’t with him—it was that Leticia was surrounded by too many people, and he was just invisible to her.
His anger swelled to an uncontrollable level. He wanted to destroy everything, especially those kids laughing and playing house, calling each other ‘husband’ and ‘wife’.
You said you’d play with me, so why aren’t you?
Vallon watched intently, observing every conversation, movement, and expression Leticia shared with the others.
“Erun, look at this. What do you think of the color of my dress today?”
“It’s beautiful, Leticia.”
“Your eye color is pretty too, Erun. It’s just like the ocean.”
“T-Thank you…”
The boy, called Erun, wore clothes inferior to Vallon’s, with shaggy hair falling over his forehead, obscuring his eye color. Yet, Leticia continued to compliment his dull, ashen eyes, calling them beautiful.
It was ridiculous.
What’s so beautiful about them? Are they prettier than mine?
Vallon picked up a sharp fork next to him, finding its gleaming edge quite satisfying.
With deliberate steps, he walked toward Leticia.
I’m of a much higher status and have far more. You should choose me.
Vallon knew he couldn’t stop his fascination with the blonde girl who had become etched into his mind. The more Leticia ignored him, the stronger his desire grew. It felt as though a massive wave of longing had swallowed him whole.
You came here to play with me, not with those losers.
“Come play with me now.”
Leticia glanced up with a reluctant expression.
Her face clearly showed that she didn’t want to play with him. But even in that unfiltered reaction, Vallon felt a surge of exhilaration.
Though brief, the moment her golden eyes settled on him sent a thrilling jolt through his body. Seeing himself reflected in her eyes made him excited and elated.
That’s when he realized.
So this is what it feels like to be happy.
Happiness… it felt good. To feel this again, he had to have her.
“Oh? Um… I’m playing with Erun right now.”
Vallon’s gaze shifted to the shaggy-haired boy sitting behind Leticia.
Is that what she thinks is beautiful? That worthless worm instead of me?
To Vallon, the boy was nothing more than a bug—insignificant and undeserving. Vallon’s hand gripped the smooth fork blade hidden behind his back.
“So, you’re not going to play with me?”
“Why don’t you go play with the other kids?”
“The other kids? Who are they? I want to talk to you, Leticia.”
The urge to be alone with her intensified.
Without thinking, he reached out and yanked her hair. He thought that by hitting and hurting her, like he did with animals, he could get her to obey him.
If he had a whip, he would’ve used it. But at that time, Vallon, still smaller than 11-year-old Leticia, wasn’t strong enough to overpower her.
“Ow, that hurts!”
Leticia, stronger than Vallon, kicked him hard, knocking him to the ground. Even as he fell, he didn’t let go of her hair, and strands were violently ripped from her scalp by his tight grip.
Seeing the handful of hair in his hand, Leticia angrily confronted him, her temper flaring. She wanted to hit him back but knew she couldn’t because of his high status. Still, she only had to endure this humiliation for one more week.
Leticia had already told her parents about Vallon’s odd behavior, and starting next week, she wouldn’t come here anymore.
But revealing that information to Vallon turned out to be a huge mistake.
“You have plenty of other friends to play with! I won’t be coming after next week, so go play with someone else!”
It seemed like she was saying that she didn’t want to get closer to him, knowing she wouldn’t be around much longer.
Why?
Why won’t you come anymore? Are you going to play with that stuttering fool? What will you two do when I’m not by your side? Play house?
What about me?
The next action Vallon took was without hesitation. He drove the fork straight into Erun’s eye.
Squelch.
The fork pierced through Erun’s eye, as easily as if it were soft jelly. Blood poured from Erun’s injured eye as he collapsed.
His once dull eyes were now the same red as Vallon’s.
