How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 64
“Do I need to remind you again?”
“…..”
“I’m your master, aren’t I, Leticia?”
Master… How did her life end up like this?
Vallon pressed down gently on Leticia’s shoulder. He wasn’t using much force, but the weight felt heavy, as if pressing her down psychologically.
“Don’t forget.”
Even though she didn’t like it, Leticia knew that Vallon held her leash. She looked up at his red eyes, which were far above her own head, and nodded slightly, as if resigning herself to the situation.
Vallon’s lips curled up in satisfaction.
“Good. Now, go talk.”
With that, Vallon released her from his grip. Did he really mean she could go talk? Wasn’t he speaking in irony?
Leticia hesitated, glancing at his expression, unsure if it was truly okay for her to go. The fact that she even had to second-guess whether she could talk to her friend without Vallon’s permission made her feel pathetic.
She sighed deeply, wondering if she would ever be free of the debt she owed Vallon until the day she died.
“Really?”
Vallon, however, was different. He found it utterly delightful to see Leticia, now conditioned to instinctively check his mood before acting, as though she’d forgotten she even had a choice.
There was certainly satisfaction in having ruined her family’s life.
“Do you not want to?”
“I-It’s not that!”
Leticia quickly answered, almost holding her breath, fearing Vallon might change his mind.
Rushing over to Leticia, Richelle was now awkwardly standing in front of her, unsure of how to act in the presence of the unfamiliar man. Richelle was already quite short herself, and she looked up at the cold, towering man who stood at least twice her size.
His face was sculpted, beautiful even, but the deep, unreadable expression in his eyes made her feel uneasy.
When her gaze met those piercing red eyes, she quickly turned her head away, her heart racing in her chest.
What… what is this feeling?
Richelle realized that she had seen someone with red eyes like that before—Vallon Kattravan. However, this man’s appearance was so different that she didn’t immediately connect the two.
“Leticia, who is this person with you?” Richelle asked, standing there awkwardly.
“Ah… um…”
Leticia hesitated, glancing behind her to gauge the man’s mood.
Richelle’s curiosity grew. Who could this man be that Leticia was so cautious around? He looked like someone from a wealthy family, that much was clear.
“This is… Vallon.”
Richelle’s eyes widened in shock, her gaze darting to the man standing behind Leticia.
His black hair and tall frame were somewhat similar to Vallon, but this man looked nothing like the disheveled, reclusive outcast she remembered.
“Wait, that Vallon? The outcast Vallon?”
Leticia wasn’t surprised by Richelle’s reaction—she had expected it. She herself would have never believed it either if the man standing behind her claimed to be Vallon.
“Shh! Richelle, lower your voice. He’s probably listening.”
“Huh? Isn’t he too far to hear us?”
“Even so, be careful.”
Leticia quickly glanced over at Vallon, who was standing not far away, seemingly watching them like a predator. She urged Richelle to keep quiet, fearful that if she said anything wrong, Vallon might do something strange to her as well.
“But how did this happen? And… are you okay?”
“I’m… I’m fine.”
“And everything with your family? That’s all sorted?”
“Yeah… I think.”
Richelle pouted, looking a bit hurt.
“Then why didn’t you call me? I only found out about everything recently! If you had told me, I could have helped you!”
“I’m sorry, Richelle. Everything was just so chaotic.”
The three months of the winter break had passed in a blur with so much happening.
“Next time something happens, promise you’ll tell me first, okay?”
Richelle still looked a little upset, but her voice was full of concern, her affection for Leticia clear. Feeling that warmth, a small part of Leticia’s heart stirred. It felt like the weight of the past months was melting away all at once.
That’s right, I have Richelle—my dearest friend.
Knowing she had someone on her side brought Leticia a sense of comfort she hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Richelle, I have something important to tell you.”
Feeling the burning gaze from beside her, Leticia awkwardly smiled and pulled Richelle into a hug, whispering so only she could hear.
“I can’t say everything now… come to my room later, okay?”
Sensing something off, Richelle didn’t press further and just nodded in agreement.
“Okay, I’ll come.”
