How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 65
“Leticia.”
After about five minutes, Vallon called Leticia, signaling it was time to return to his side.
“Richelle, I’ll see you later.”
“Alright. Take care.”
Though Richelle hadn’t heard any specific details, she could sense that Leticia wasn’t in a particularly happy situation.
Having known Leticia for a long time, Richelle could read her friend’s expression well enough to tell when something was wrong. Right now, Leticia didn’t look happy.
“What did you two talk about?”
Vallon immediately started probing, curious about the conversation Leticia had with Richelle.
“What could we have talked about in such a short time? We just exchanged greetings and caught up a bit.”
“How boring. Is that all?”
“What else would we talk about with you standing right there watching us?”
“Who knows? Maybe some secret between the two of you?”
“There’s no such thing.”
Feeling irritated, Leticia snapped back, making it clear there was nothing to hide, and began walking ahead.
“Leticia, how about I show you my room?”
“You want me to go into the boys’ dorm? You know that’s not allowed.”
Girls weren’t allowed in the boys’ dormitory. The last time she had gone was late at night when no one was around, and Vallon had pretended to be injured, leaving her with no choice but to enter. But now, she had a solid reason to refuse.
“Don’t worry about that. It’s fine.”
“What do you mean ‘it’s fine’? It’s not fine. There are academy rules for a reason, and we can’t just break them.”
It was clear that Vallon had no intention of following such rules.
“I wanted to show you the room you didn’t get to see last time.”
The room I didn’t get to see? He’s talking about the one that felt strange when I tried to open it before, isn’t he?
She still hadn’t seen it, and now she had no desire to. The way he was eager to show her made it obvious there was something unsettling inside.
“I’m not curious about what’s in that room, Vallon.”
She spoke more firmly than before, determined to avoid being alone with him any longer than necessary.
“Why? Is it because you hate being alone with me?”
Vallon’s words hit her like a cold wind, as if he could see right through her thoughts. Could he read her mind? Surely, that would be crossing into something beyond human, wouldn’t it?
“What’s there to be suspicious about?”
“S-Suspicious? Nothing… I’m just not feeling well today… Can we go another time?”
“Are you sick?”
Of course, he pretended to be concerned. It disgusted her. He knew perfectly well that he was the source of her suffering.
If it weren’t for Vallon, she would’ve been surrounded by friends today, sharing stories and laughing. On a normal first day back, Leticia would have been busy showing off new dresses and foreign jewelry. But instead, her first day back was dull and isolating.
No one was by her side.
She noticed some people glancing at her from afar, hesitating to approach, but she knew it wasn’t because of her—it was because of Vallon.
It felt like she was no longer the main character of her own story.
It was a bitter feeling.
People were curious about Vallon, with his refined and aristocratic appearance. But his cold demeanor seemed to intimidate them, keeping them from approaching too easily.
All Leticia wanted was to retreat to her dorm and rest. She hadn’t done much, yet she was already exhausted.
“It’s just… I have a bit of a headache.”
She rubbed her temples, feigning discomfort, hoping to use it as an excuse to be alone. It had been so long since she had any time to herself, what with Vallon constantly invading her space. She longed for a moment of solitude.
If she could just get back to her dorm, she’d finally have a little peace. Or so she hoped. Could he really not intrude there? She couldn’t be certain. With Vallon, nothing felt guaranteed. Who knew what kind of cruelty he could unleash behind that smiling face?
“If you’re not feeling well, then we can save the room for another time.”
Vallon didn’t press further once she said she was sick. But Leticia knew better than to let her guard down. Even when she had told him she wasn’t feeling well last time, he had feigned understanding, only to show up at her room later to torment her.
“Thank you…”
Though it didn’t feel like something to be thankful for, Leticia had no choice. She knew all too well that if she didn’t play along, Vallon wouldn’t leave her in peace.
