How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 67
The familiar dorm room was exactly how Leticia had left it when she rushed off before winter break. It seemed like she needed to clean up first.
As she tidied up the cluttered room, Leticia discovered the orb Vallon had given her in one corner. With a chilly expression, she looked down at it.
The moment her hand touched it, the once-quiet orb started showing her the events of that day again.
“Bastard…”
The curse slipped out. She couldn’t bring herself to say something like that to Vallon’s face out of fear, but now that he wasn’t around, she could curse all she wanted.
She decided that this creepy object needed to be destroyed. There had to be a toolbox somewhere in her room. Scanning the room, she spotted a toolbox on the shelf.
Leticia pulled out a hammer from the box and smashed the orb with all her strength. However, no matter how hard she hit it, the orb refused to break.
“Why is it so tough?”
Her reflection on the surface of the orb made it impossible to just throw it away. Eventually, she gave up and shoved the orb deep into her desk drawer.
Knock knock.
Suddenly, someone knocked on Leticia’s door. It was probably Richelle.
“Richelle?”
“….”
However, the person knocking did not answer her. Maybe they hadn’t heard her because her voice was too quiet. Leticia raised her voice slightly and called out again.
“Richelle?”
“….”
She was certain she had heard the knock clearly, but there was still no response from outside. Goosebumps ran down her arms as unease settled in.
The sound had been too steady and consistent to be something just brushing against her door.
Leticia cautiously approached the door. She gently turned the knob to check if it was locked before calling out again.
“Ri…chelle?”
Her voice echoed emptily behind the thin door.
Could Richelle be playing a prank? She often used to hide in closets and scare Leticia for fun.
If it hadn’t been for everything that happened with Vallon, she would have immediately assumed it was Richelle being playful. But now…
A strange tension filled the dorm room. The once-comforting space had suddenly become uncomfortable. Leticia nervously chewed her nails as she circled the room.
She felt that she wouldn’t be at ease until she opened the door and found out what it was. Leticia rushed back to the door and pressed her ear against it. If she could just hear some voices outside, she might feel safe enough to open it. But there was no sound from the hallway.
It had been a little while now, so maybe it was safe to open?
“No…”
In the end, she decided not to open the door. It would be reckless to take unnecessary risks. She’d wait for Richelle to arrive. About thirty minutes later, it happened again.
Knock knock.
This time, she heard it clearly.
“Richelle?”
“…….”
“Richelle, stop playing around. This isn’t funny.”
Once again, there was no response. At this point, fear crept in, and she felt like crying.
Leticia crossed her arms tightly around herself and crouched down in a corner of the room. She felt like she could only relax if her back was pressed against something solid.
Knock knock.
“Stop it! Who’s there?”
Leticia shouted at the top of her lungs, her voice filled with fear.
“Leticia? It’s me!”
“Richelle?”
It was really Richelle this time. Leticia bolted toward the door and flung it open.
“Richelle!”
It truly was her. The moment Leticia saw Richelle’s red hair, her legs gave out, and she collapsed onto the floor.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
“S…Someone kept knocking on my door, messing with me…”
“A prank? Then, did that person leave this?”
Richelle handed Leticia a black envelope. It looked unnervingly ominous.
And Leticia’s gut told her something was wrong. Danger.
“What is this?”
“You don’t know? It was stuck in your door.”
Leticia’s hands trembled as she took the envelope. It could be nothing, but after everything that had happened, she had become far more fearful. She knew now that not everyone in the world was as normal as she and Richelle.
Leticia opened the envelope. Inside was black paper with red writing.
[I know what you did over winter break.]
What I did? What could they mean? Could they be referring to what happened in the pleasure district? No one knew about that.
She hadn’t run into anyone she knew there, except for Vallon. Was he behind this?
But why would Vallon do something like this? She already had no choice but to follow his orders. Why would he go through the trouble of sending such a veiled threat?
