How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 68
Her head was spinning, and a headache surged in.
“Ah…”
Leticia clutched her head and collapsed to the floor, as Richelle quickly ran over and grabbed her shoulders.
She was trembling so hard that even her shoulders were shaking. It was clear that whatever was written on that black letter wasn’t anything good.
“What did it say in the letter to make you react like this?”
“Nothing… It’s nothing.”
Richelle didn’t know about what happened over the break. If word got out at the academy that her family had fallen and she had frequented the pleasure district, she would undoubtedly become the target of ridicule, shunned by the entire student body.
Just thinking about it was horrifying.
“It’s just… I think I’m coming down with something…”
She needed to find out who was behind this threat. Whoever it was, they seemed just as sinister as Vallon.
But who could be brazen enough to sneak into the girls’ dormitory to deliver such a letter? The culprit was likely a girl.
Or perhaps, she hoped it was Vallon. It could just be his way of tightening the leash around her neck. Please… one madman in her life was enough.
No one could ever find out what happened during the winter break.
As she struggled with the unsettling warning letter, her mind was spinning, making it hard to calm down. The academy, where she had hoped for a fresh start, now seemed like a giant inferno, ready to swallow her whole.
It felt as if she was standing at the edge of hell’s fire, and she could feel the flames devouring her from her feet upward. Why was all this happening to her? What had she done to deserve such trials all at once?
After sitting on the floor with Richelle, who gently patted her back, for what felt like thirty minutes, her thoughts began to clear. As her vision sharpened, she noticed the bright daylight streaming in from the window.
Leticia jumped up and quickly drew the curtains, blocking the view from outside. She felt as though she was being watched by dozens of unseen eyes.
With her mind a bit clearer, Leticia decided to put aside the threatening letter for now. She needed to discuss the real issue with Richelle. One thing was certain: Richelle, whose calm, dark eyes were watching her with concern, had no idea what had happened over the break.
Her unwavering gaze made Leticia feel slightly more at ease. Richelle was definitely on her side. She seemed to have many questions she wanted to ask.
“Richelle, how was your winter break?”
Before diving into the main topic, Leticia asked Richelle how her break had been.
“Eh, nothing special, really. Same as usual.”
“Richelle…”
Leticia softly called Richelle’s name. The heavy atmosphere made it clear that whatever she was about to say wouldn’t be good news.
Richelle swallowed nervously as she waited for Leticia’s next words.
“You need to listen carefully to what I’m about to say.”
From the moment she tried to speak, Leticia felt a chill run down her spine. Even though the room was just her and Richelle with the curtains drawn, it felt like someone else was watching them.
Leticia scanned the silent dorm room, her eyes darting around until she concluded that staying in her room was dangerous. Vallon could be watching her somehow. Speaking in this room was too risky.
Maybe he had planted something here, like that orb she had tried to break earlier.
In fact, it wasn’t the orb. What followed her everywhere was Vallon’s shadow.
However, Leticia had no idea that his shadow was clinging to her, trailing her every move.
Who would think that a shadow could ever leave its owner? It was something beyond the imagination of ordinary people.
“Richelle, let’s go to your room.”
Richelle seemed confused by Leticia’s suggestion to leave her own room, especially after inviting her over, but she didn’t ask questions. There must be a reason, she thought. After all, since they had reunited after the break, Leticia seemed like someone constantly being chased, with no time to relax.
Richelle had known Leticia since they were children, but this version of her was unfamiliar.
She had heard that the issues with Leticia’s family had been resolved, but maybe that wasn’t true?
“Sure, let’s go to my room, Leticia.”
The two of them left Leticia’s room and headed to Richelle’s, which was in a corner on the fourth floor.
Richelle’s room, much like her personality, was cute and cozy. Just as Leticia was about to step inside, she hesitated when she caught sight of the boys’ dormitory through the window.
She knew where Vallon’s room was — on the very top floor. Was it too much to think he might be up there watching her even now?
