How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 69
“What are you doing just standing there?”
“Richelle, let’s draw the curtains first.”
“Huh? Oh, sure.”
There was no harm in being cautious.
Leticia sat across from Richelle at the table with a serious expression. She hesitated for a long time before finally speaking.
“What are you trying to say?”
“Richelle… Have you ever heard anything about Vallon’s abilities?”
“No? Does Vallon have some special ability?”
Richelle, too, knew nothing about Vallon’s powers. It was a mystery how he had managed to hide such strength all this time.
“Why are you asking?”
Richelle’s face was full of curiosity.
What could have happened over the winter break? Richelle was already shocked to see Leticia with Vallon, someone she clearly despised. And Vallon’s changed appearance made it even more surprising.
“Have you ever heard of an ability to move in and out of dreams?”
“What? Is that even possible?”
It seemed this was all news to Richelle. There were many types of powers one could extract through magic.
How much magical power did Vallon possess? To be able to strangle someone with an invisible force would require an immense amount of magic. And to use it as frequently as Vallon did, his body must be capable of generating an extraordinary amount of magical power.
As far as she knew, no one in the empire is capable of that. Most people need a long rest to replenish their magic after using large amounts.
Is Vallon even human? Maybe he’s a demon disguised as a human. A demon… It sounded absurd, but seeing the things Vallon did, it didn’t seem entirely impossible.
“But why are you asking?”
“Vallon just… has that kind of ability.”
Earlier, just by looking at Kevin, Vallon had terrified him to the point of turning pale, as if he were going to die. Leticia had felt the same suffocating pressure before. What kind of power is that?
And the ability to freely enter and exit dreams… On top of that, things that happened in the dream affected reality. It was a power only seen in ancient forbidden black magic.
“What? Is that even possible?”
Richelle’s voice rose in disbelief, causing Leticia to look around and make a shushing gesture.
“Keep it down. Vallon might be listening.”
“How could he know where my room is? How would he be listening?”
“I don’t know. I just have this constant feeling that he’s watching me.”
Leticia shuddered, rubbing her arms as a chill ran through her.
Even now, just thinking about him made her skin crawl, as goosebumps rose across her body.
“Being able to move in and out of dreams? Is that even possible?”
“I know it sounds impossible. But I’m sure it’s Vallon who’s tormenting me in my dreams.”
“He’s tormenting you… in your dreams?”
“Yeah…”
The shameful content of the dreams kept her from explaining exactly how he tormented her. Just thinking about how Vallon had relentlessly harassed her made her nxxples ache. He had sucked and bitten them so much that they were still swollen.
“Plus, the reason my family went bankrupt… that was all Vallon’s doing too. He’s a total bastard!”
“What? Why would Vallon go that far?”
Richelle looked incredulous. But I don’t even know why he’s doing all this to me…
“It’s true, even if it’s hard to believe.”
“What? He’s seriously insane. Does he have some kind of grudge against you?”
“Yeah, he’s crazy. He ruined me and then ‘helped’ me afterward. So now I’m like a dog on a leash, tied to Vallon…”
At last, Richelle began to understand why Leticia had appeared with Vallon. He had deliberately ruined her to swallow her whole.
Richelle had suspected there was something off about Vallon, but she hadn’t imagined he was this far gone. To think that the very person who had made Leticia suffer was Vallon made her blood boil.
She finally understood why Leticia hadn’t contacted her at all over the break. She had been so wrapped up in her own annoyance about not hearing from her that she hadn’t even considered the possibility of what Leticia had been going through…
“I can’t control anything in my life anymore. I feel like he’s always watching me from somewhere.”
“Leticia… I’m so sorry. I had no idea.”
“I can’t tell you everything, but it was really a hellish winter…”
Leticia’s lips trembled as she bit down to hold back tears. The once bright and carefree friend she knew looked utterly exhausted.
Richelle had always known Vallon had an unhealthy obsession with Leticia, but this went beyond obsession. It was madness.
“Does having money make everything okay? How can a person do something like that?”
“Exactly. I don’t know why I ended up catching the eye of such a crazy person.”
Leticia paused before asking,
“Do you remember ever seeing Vallon when we were younger? He acts like he’s known me for a long time.”
