How to Escape from the Yandere’s Crazy Obsession - Chapter 83
But who could hold such hatred against her? Leticia had always led a smooth, untroubled life at the academy.
With her striking appearance and lively personality, Leticia always drew attention wherever she went, and she had no trouble getting along with everyone. There was never a shortage of people around her, and she had never once sensed any malice directed at her.
“Ah…”
Or had she? She suddenly remembered the time when she found a mouse carcass in her locker, with its head and body gruesomely separated.
How could she have forgotten about that? Could it be the same person from back then? If so, this was dangerous. Even though it was a small animal, anyone who could slaughter it so cruelly was capable of showing aggression toward her at any moment.
A shiver ran down her spine. Not all of this was Vallon’s fault, but it felt like every bad thing happening to her was somehow linked to him.
Ever since meeting Vallon, nothing had gone right. Why did all the misfortune seem to pile up at once?
Leticia furiously tore up the unsettling note and threw the pieces into the trash. But even that didn’t feel like enough, so she lit it on fire. As she watched the letter burn in the trashcan, she nervously bit her fingernails.
“Who on earth are you?!”
Sure, Vallon had power that she couldn’t hope to rival, but this person—this coward who was tormenting her from the shadows—was different. They were hiding behind anonymity, tormenting her in secret.
She wouldn’t let it go. She would find them and learn why they were doing this to her.

“Leticia, is something bothering you?”
Vallon’s voice interrupted her thoughts as he noticed the unusually serious expression on her face. His eyes were filled with… concern for her.
The idea of Vallon being genuinely worried for her with those blood-red eyes was laughable. But what was even funnier, in an absurd way, was her fleeting thought—so brief—that maybe she should ask him for help.
If anyone could find that person, Vallon could do it instantly, right?
Was she out of her mind? The idea of seeking help from the very person who caused her so much suffering was insane. Being around Vallon made her feel like her mind was slowly unraveling.
“No, it’s nothing.”
“Really? Your face seems too tense for ‘nothing,’ Leticia.”
Vallon leaned in close, his face hovering right in front of hers. It startled her every time he did that, especially with how different he had become from before.
She hated how normal he looked. How could someone look so perfectly fine and yet be so deranged?
If people only saw his polished appearance, who would ever think he was crazy? She almost preferred his old, more unsettling look. At least then, it was easier to recognize the danger.
“I just haven’t been sleeping well. Don’t worry about it.”
“Is that so? Well, if anything happens, you know you can come to me, right? Your problems are my problems too.”
His voice was smooth, sweet like honey. One misstep, and she could get stuck in that honey, unable to free herself.
“You’re my person, Leticia. If someone hurts you, I won’t let it slide.”
The nerve of him. Vallon, the one who tormented her the most, had the audacity to say such things. No matter how hard things got, she would never ask him for help. The last thing she wanted was his assistance.
“Have you ever considered that you’re the one who hurts me the most?”
The words slipped out before she could stop them.
“Oh, really?”
His knowing smirk only made her more uncomfortable.
“I just don’t want you to get hurt anymore. Like you said, Leticia, I’m the only one who should be causing you pain.”
Vallon’s face gleamed with beauty as he shrugged and smiled, but there was something so unsettling about the way he said those words.
“I want to be the only person who hurts you, the only one who loves you, the only friend you have, the only family you have. I want to be the only person in your thoughts. I want you to reach out to me when you’re struggling because there’s no one else. Only me.”
This man was beyond crazy.
Leticia remembered their first encounter clearly now, but no matter how she thought about it, their meeting wasn’t anything that would have made Vallon so obsessed with her.
“Do you really think that’s possible?”
“If I lock you up somewhere only I can see you, I think so.”
Her heart dropped at the sudden rush of fear. This was a different kind of terror. Leticia’s face paled instantly.
He had said something like this before, hadn’t he? If he kept repeating it, it probably wasn’t just a joke—it was something he actually thought about.
“S-Surely, you don’t mean that, right?”
Vallon let out a soft chuckle.
Why was he laughing? What was so funny?
“Vallon, you don’t really mean that, right? I already think about you all the time, even without being locked up. I swear.”
It was true, even if it wasn’t in a good way. Vallon constantly occupied her thoughts. When people are in distress, they become desperate. There was no way she’d risk provoking him now.
“Don’t worry, Leticia. I’m just joking. Why are you so frightened?”
It was the most humorless joke she had ever heard.
