How to Survive as a Princess in a Reverse Harem Game - Chapter 50
“Your Highness……?”
Even though the surroundings were dark, I could still make out the shape of a person. It was impossible not to see a large man kneeling on the floor.
However, I was uncertain whether he was actually kneeling or not, and just as I sat up, his calm voice filled the bedroom.
“I have dared to dishonor you with my selfish desires without permission.”
“What?”
“I have committed an unforgivable sin. So please, punish me.”
For a moment, my mind went blank. Was he suddenly saying this because of how roughly he had acted earlier?
Of course, it was true that he had acted on his own from a certain point onward. But how could one expect to adjust everything for another person throughout life?
Especially when I was the one who had urged him on first.
“Um, calm down first…… come up here. It must be hard and cold there.”
“I’m fine. In fact, I’m calmer now than ever.”
“Then at least wrap this around yourself. Or put on some pants.”
I understood Isaac’s stubborn nature to a certain extent, so instead of persuading him further, I lifted the blanket and offered it to him.
Even though it was dark, it was undoubtedly an embarrassing moment considering the recent circumstances we had just shared.
Fortunately, Isaac readily chose one of the options I presented. While he looked for pants to put on, I also found my pajamas that had been pushed to one corner of the bed and quickly put them on.
“Can I turn on the light?”
“I’ll do it.”
The candle beside the nightstand was lit instantly. The room brightened, revealing Isaac’s bare upper body in all its glory. No matter how many times I saw it, I couldn’t help but marvel at his well-defined physique.
It wasn’t until Isaac knelt down again, just like before, that I managed to gather my thoughts and asked,
“So, what kind of punishment do you want?”
“……If it’s Your Highness’s command, then I shall cut it off.”
“W-what do you mean?”
I reflexively asked back, but I wasn’t really expecting any specific answer. I was just curious if my assumptions were correct.
“I— I, who have dishonored Your Highness…….”
Ahhh!
I quickly crouched down and covered Isaac’s mouth. I could feel him freeze, surprised by my sudden action.
But I couldn’t bear to hear any more. His unnecessarily rigid and overly mechanical words were a bit too much, making it quite embarrassing to listen to.
The faint breath against my palm felt a bit hot. Feeling the ticklish sensation, I realized I was being too familiar with him and tried to remove my hand.
“My…… my…….”
Ah!
I had barely pulled away when I heard him attempting to finish his earlier sentence, and I immediately covered his mouth again.
I wondered if it was okay to be so rough with his face, but there was no other choice.
“I understand what you mean, so let’s not talk about it anymore. Got it?”
“…….”
“If you nod your head, I’ll take my hand away.”
At my words, Isaac nodded. It seemed my little threat worked, even after I removed my hand, he didn’t speak.
Feeling relieved, I continued with my earlier question.
“Why are you doing this? What do you plan to do without it? I mean, taking my mana.”
Unintentionally, my tongue got tangled, and I stuttered. I was trying to avoid using direct terms, which was why I struggled.
Did he understand? Contrary to my worries, Isaac responded calmly.
“If the mana overload is a problem, we have Reno, so it’s fine.”
“Y-You asked Reno, didn’t you?”
“Since you mentioned it, I subtly checked his intentions. He seemed quite positive about it.”
I was taken aback. So that’s why Reno had been dropping hints about this; he must have said something to Isaac.
“Anyway, get up. To be precise, it was my side that instigated you……. So what if I indulge a bit? As long as we both enjoyed it.”
Ding!
I perked up at the sound of the notification window.
Given the situation, it probably wasn’t a quest but a affection message…… Did what I just said appealed to Isaac?
With a hint of anticipation, I checked the message window.
[<System> ‘Isaac Harsen’ affection has slightly decreased.]
[<System> Be cautious, as if the affection of companion characters drops too low, the likelihood of betrayal increases.]
Huh……?
