I Became a Barbarian's Bride - Chapter 51
“But since there are none right now…”
He trailed off, then pulled the blanket away, slipping inside and wrapping his legs around her, pulling her tightly into his embrace.
“Bear with this living human heater, Princess.”
His whisper in her ear made Nisha’s face flush crimson.
As she squirmed and protested, Kagan tightened his hold on her and spoke.
“Princess, don’t move too much. If you provoke me, I might heat you up in another way.”
At his whispered words, Nisha’s movements abruptly stopped.
With a chuckle, he gently patted her back.
With her face buried against his broad chest, which rose and fell steadily, it wasn’t long before a soft, ragged sound came from between Nisha’s lips.

An Oracle.
It was an immense rule in Xieman that had to be absolutely upheld.
Neither the chieftain, nor the Kagan, nor the elders or the prophet could ever refuse or go against it.
If the oracle chose a wife, it meant that she was essential to Xieman’s future, and thus, it had to be carried out.
Even if the oracle designated the child of a traitor, there must be a reason, and it had to be followed.
Their god, Adin, never gave an oracle that would harm Xieman, and even if it took years or decades, the significance of the oracle always became clear.
However, if the Kagan was the sun and the pillar that sustained Xieman, the Tun was always a sacrificial figure meant to support that pillar.
Those chosen as Tun always lost something.
Sometimes it was their sight, sometimes their voice, sometimes their limbs. Sometimes they lost their memories or families, and in the worst cases, their lives.
Every chosen Tun needed to come to love Xieman.
Thus, their god would take the most important thing from the Tun to ensure that what became most important to them was Xieman itself.
Hence, they often referred to the Tun as a sacrifice.
But they also acknowledged that this sacrifice allowed them, despite being a minority, to remain strong and steadfast.
The methods were extreme, but the oracle was always right.
And today, the former king felt that truth even more clearly.
Of course, what the new Tun was doing now was not directly for the future of Xieman.
But it undeniably had significance for him.
Flash─.
A massive aura of light swiftly enveloped and seeped into his companion’s eyelids.
The light was far greater and more dazzling than before, so much so that calling it wondrous would be an understatement.
This time, the light didn’t just flash and vanish abruptly. The radiant aura filled the room for quite a while before it gradually began to fade.
“Phew…”
Nisha exhaled softly as she slowly withdrew her hand.
Orga, the former king, instinctively stepped closer to his companion.
Blink-.
Blink-.
As Tatar blinked a few times, her hidden eyes were revealed beneath her eyelids.
They were more beautiful than the shimmering surface of the sea under sunlight, causing Orga to gasp softly.
“…Titi.”
At the man’s soft call, Nisha slowly backed away, glancing around.
Kagan, who had been standing behind her, approached and draped a thick shawl over her shoulders.
The unfamiliar gesture made Nisha instinctively shrink her neck before she quickly straightened up.
Fortunately, it seemed the man didn’t notice her discomfort.
Kagan’s gaze was fixed on his mother, Tatar, and the widening of his eyes indicated that, despite his outward composure, he was quite surprised.
Nisha also slowly turned her head to look at the two elders.
