I Ended Up Saving the Duke Who Was Meant to Die - Chapter 2.1
The mansion was different from the temple – it was larger and people moved about freely.
I looked around with my mouth agape. Of course, everyone in the mansion flinched when they saw my appearance.
However, rather than showing disgust or looking at me strangely as I stood beside the Duke, they immediately bowed their heads in greeting.
“Your Grace. If this is a guest, I shall escort them.”
“She’s not a guest.”
“…Then.”
The person who appeared to be a butler looked me over.
“I am Irene von Clementine. As of today, I’ve become the Duchess of House Blake.”
“…What?!”
The man looked at Severus in shock.
“Let me introduce her. As she said, she is Irene von Blake, my wife as of today.”
“Your Grace!”
“The High Priest was our marriage witness. She’s also someone to whom I owe a debt.”
At his words, the butler closed his mouth tightly.
“I apologize for my rudeness. I am Albert Martin, head butler of House Blake.”
“It’s fine. I didn’t introduce myself first either.”
I smiled at him reassuringly.
“The journey must have been tiring. Show us the way.”
“Understood. Please follow me. I’ll have warm water prepared.”
I tilted my head and grabbed the Duke’s collar.
“Why aren’t you coming with me?”
I hope there isn’t some other scheme.
“…Pardon?”
He turned his head like a creaking wooden doll.
“Why are we going separately?”
Aren’t married couples supposed to do everything together?
“It’s unfamiliar here. So please come with me.”
It would be troublesome if there were assassins hiding. He seemed to have many enemies, so it wouldn’t hurt to be careful. I hadn’t even figured out the mansion’s layout yet.
If the Imperial family had sent someone to kill him, there might be spies here too. No matter how strong he was, and even though my power wasn’t ordinary, we needed to be careful for now. Although I trusted him and married him, I had no choice since I didn’t know about the people around him.
“……Is there a problem?”
Somehow the atmosphere seemed to have grown cold. At my words, even the servant and everyone in the mansion froze.
They just blinked their eyes and then turned their heads away, pretending not to notice.
“……I understand.”
He nodded slightly and began to walk ahead.
When I arrived at the room, I was surprised once again. The room was really big and spacious.
“Is this room for staying alone?”
“No. This is the room where you and I will stay together.”
His face seemed to have turned slightly red. I nodded and went to the bathroom.
“Do you need a maid’s help?”
“I can do it alone.”
I nodded lightly, took off my clothes, and immersed myself in the bathtub.
I still couldn’t believe it. The fact that I had escaped from there. And that Michaelo had let me go.
“What if he changes his mind?”
Even if he stood as a witness, we could just get divorced, couldn’t we? I had no desire to go back.
“I need to make it irreversible.”
Although Severus had also sworn, I don’t trust people. Michaelo had always told me not to trust anyone but him. Maybe because of that, doubting strangers had become a habit.
I don’t know well, but if Severus had also had his life threatened many times, wouldn’t he doubt everyone like me?
The red eyes and everything else, we had many similarities.
I immersed myself fully in the warm water and stared at the ceiling.
“Huh?”
I turned my head at the gaze I felt from the door. Severus had entered the bathroom.
Unlike when clothed, his unclothed body was more dimensional. Broad shoulders and chest muscles that flexed with every movement. Long arms and legs befitting his tall stature.
Black hair falling messily and red eyes. A sharp nose bridge and slightly upturned lips. It was a face that drew admiration every time I looked at it.
Then my gaze went downward.
“……?”
Something large and long was standing *rect between his legs.
“We’re married, aren’t we? Couples do everything together.”
“That’s true. Are you planning to bathe with me?”
I tried to make space for him in the narrow bathtub. When that proved difficult, I stood up.
Water splashed over the edge of the tub. Though the bathroom was full of steam, his silhouette was clearly visible.
As he came closer, his undeniable presence became clearer, and my gaze moved from bottom to top until our eyes met.
I deliberately swept my wet hair back.
“The water’s warm. Come in.”
“……Why aren’t you flustered?”
“Why should I be? As you said, we’re married.”
I thought about it carefully. And I knew the true meaning of my words.
Marriage alone wasn’t enough. I needed something that would bind us together definitively.
Consummating the marriage would make it irreversible for both Michaelo and him.
I stepped out of the tub and stood before him. I reached out to wrap my arms around his neck and pressed close to him.
“Can we now continue what we were doing before?”
“……I really don’t understand what you’re thinking.”
“There’s nothing complicated about it. We’re just doing what married couples do.”
I raised up on my tiptoes slightly and kissed him. He didn’t avoid it.
Unlike before, he held my waist tightly and tilted his head to deepen the kiss.
My heart was pounding. With our unclothed bodies pressed together, I could feel his warmth completely.
Hot, soft, and comforting.
Every time his tongue entered my parted lips and explored inside, my chest felt like it would burst.
As our tongues intertwined, breathing became heavy. The gentle caress along my back made my spine tingle.
“Hnn.”
A moan escaped my lips naturally. The tingling sensation flowing through my entire body felt strange.
My eyes flew open when his hand grasped my chest. When he gently touched the peak, a different kind of pleasure from before invaded my body.
“Ah!”
He buried his face in my neck and exhaled a heated breath.
My body went weak, beyond just goosebumps. He firmly supported me with one hand to keep me from falling, then looked at me.
My body trembled as he opened his mouth and traced his tongue up my chest.
I never knew that having my br*asts sucked could feel this good.
I shouldn’t have gotten excited, but it was difficult to control my strength. I gripped his shoulders tightly and let out a moan.
“Ah, stop. Ah!”
It was different from when touched by hand. It felt more ticklish and tingly. Severus handled my body as if dealing with something precious.
He grabbed my b*****s with an unhurried touch and licked them with his tongue. He would suck and pull, then gently bite my n*****s with his teeth.
…Why didn’t anyone teach me about this? No, it would have been troublesome if Michaelo had taught me.
If he had taught me, he would have tried to do it himself. Remembering when Michaelo tried to kiss me made me feel unpleasant.
“Are you thinking of something else?”
He asked, lifting his head slightly from where it was buried in my chest.
His red eyes were clouded with emotion. Our gazes met briefly before he pressed his body against mine while caressing my waist.
