She was a lady from an old ducal family in the Bartch Kingdom. Such disgraceful behavior was unacceptable.
“You’re not deaf. Take off your clothes, Emilia von Loren.”
“I hope you won’t disappoint my expectations, Duke Heinrich.”
Adrian still wore a disappointed expression as he left the room. Fortunately, it seemed that whatever had transpired before didn’t involve him, leaving only her and Duke Heinrich in the room.
Duke Heinrich didn’t even spare a glance in Adrian’s direction; he solely focused his gaze on her.
With an almost dismissive gesture, as if it were a bother to explain anything, he smoothly unbuttoned his shirt.
Tuck, tuck.
One by one, his clothes fell to the floor from his hand. Beneath his golden hair were eyes so eerily red, and they harmonized with the strong lines of his nose and his crimson lips.
The broad shoulders and large muscles that adorned his entire body, riding on a thick neck, demonstrated their presence with every movement he made.
She intuitively realized that this wasn’t just a randomly built physique. From his thick arm muscles, balanced chest muscles beneath, to the finely divided abs beneath that, it was evident that his body was a product of careful sculpting.
Tension hung tightly between them at the opposite ends of the wide bed.
Unlike the smooth muscles of his body, his skin bore scars throughout. When she noticed the countless wounds from various sword cuts, she realized that he was no different from her, a knight.
“Are you, um, suggesting that we engage in the kind of… activity that usually takes place between a husband and wife?”
Her trembling was evident in her voice. Even if he suggested this to keep an eye on her until their marriage, this was…
“I thought you were smart, but you seem less clever than I thought, Loren.”
Mikhail stepped onto the bed without unbuckling. Kneeling down and propping himself up at the end of the bed, he looked down at her, who was crouched there.
“You, of all people, who were involved in treason, now seem to have become the king’s stud, haven’t you? If not, then stop.”
She warned in a low, resolute voice, and he laughed. She had told him not to, and she was still unsure of the situation.
His expression twisted with anger for a moment, then he stood in front of her in an instant. Her back against the wall, she realized there was nowhere else to retreat, and her eyes sparkled with murder.
He bent down and gently pulled her hand, which was holding the blanket. Despite her enhanced strength from wielding a sword, she was surprised at how easily it lifted. It felt as if he was trivializing the years she had lived, which was humiliating.
“This is also part of becoming a married couple. It seems the Loren ducal family didn’t provide proper s****l education?”
He tilted his head slightly and muttered in a low voice.
“Or do you want to be in the king’s arms who is pleasuring himself with you, outside that door?”
“Sir!”
His coarseness made her teeth clench, and every word he spoke furrowed her brow.
“Or else, keep your mouth shut. Stop useless thoughts and spread your legs.”
…What did he say? Emilia’s eyes widened. In that moment, he inserted his fingers through her slightly parted lips.
“Uh.”
Her pupils trembled violently in response to his thick fingers digging into her mouth. Her whole body stiffened at what was happening to her right now.
The rage-filled crimson eyes were fixed on her. He pressed her tongue down with his finger and whispered in her ear.
“Bear my child. That way, this damn situation won’t happen again.”
Bear his child? Emilia shook her head. She didn’t want his child. Who would want the child of their enemy?
Tears finally welled up in her eyes, but she knew too well.
To end this situation quickly, she knew she had to accept his words. She looked up at him, and in resignation, bit her lip.
Damn it.
Mikhail let out a deep breath and raised his head. The green eyes that met his still held vitality, even in this situation and they defiantly met his gaze despite the vulgar words he had just uttered.
Even though she trembled with fear, her eyes shone with determination.
“If you want to finish quickly, then stop resisting.”
Emilia had finally accepted that she couldn’t escape this situation until it was over, and her spirit had been somewhat broken.
In an instant, her view flipped. Her face was buried in the pillow in no time. She tried to lift her head straight away, but the strong force pressing on the back of her head turned her head to the side.
In the end, tears streamed down her cheeks. Her hand, gripping the blanket tightly, trembled.
“Ah!”
A gasp escaped her lips as the massive body pressed down on her from behind. Her thin slip was lifted up in an instant.
