Perhaps he would find out on the day that was to come next week.
He didn’t mind not having children. If they were to appear, it would be an added burden for her, but it wasn’t something he was inclined to do.
“A one-month vacation… It should be interesting.”
As a vacation spot, the area around Ethera Park in the Faytech region would be suitable. There would be fewer individuals acting as Adrian’s eyes, making it more comfortable for him to operate.

Emilia found the suddenly arranged dining uncomfortable.
She hadn’t dined with Mikhail to begin with, and Dahlia, who had been kept away in a separate building, was now having a meal with him—what could he be thinking?
‘What was he thinking?’
She casually glanced at Dahlia and Mikhail as they ate.
“The food is delicious. The skills of the chef at the Duke’s residence are excellent.”
The lobster salad with orange sauce served as the appetizer was quite well-matched.
Emilia took a small bite, trying not to show any particular reaction. It was undeniably flavorful. The harmony of the dishes and the plating were excellent.
If she didn’t eat with the two people, she would have enjoyed it enough.
Next, fresh oysters were served with white wine. The oysters were fragrant with lemon juice.
“Dahlia, after the wedding, I plan to leave this place for a month and stay in the Faytech region.”
At Mikhail’s abrupt statement, Dahlia, who was enjoying her food, paused with her fork in midair.
“Am I going along too?”
“I can’t leave you alone, can I? You’ll probably like it there.”
Dahlia narrowed her eyes at the Duke’s words, showing signs of uneasiness.
“…You don’t plan to leave me there permanently, do you?”
“As of now, that’s the plan.”
“Brother, there’s probably no need to worry about that, but it would be better if you didn’t.”
Though her hands trembled, she spoke calmly without standing up.
“Why?”
“It’ll be more unsettling if you can’t see me. I’m sure of that.”
Dahlia smiled mischievously and took a sip of white wine.
“You know, I’m more unpredictable than you think.”
“When you go there, they might bind your hands and feet even tighter.”
“Brother, please let me stay by your side. I’ve become closer to sister-in-law after all.”
Dahlia rested her chin on her hand, her red eyes sparkling. Mikhail clicked his tongue briefly.
“If you do something unnecessary again, I might have to do things my way.”
“Brother, really, there’s no need to get angry over meeting and talking with Sister.”
“What you talked about matters.”
It was quite strange. Whenever it was related to Dahlia, he reacted sensitively.
“It seems like there’s a stir in the Duke’s residence, so I plan to release the cat for a while.”
“Have you put a bell around the cat’s neck?”
“Who knows.”
Mikhail chuckled softly.
“Without the sound of the bell, the rats will soon be caught.”
Dahlia smoothly shifted the conversation. It was evident that he was referring to herself as the rat.
Emilia swallowed hard.
Emilia couldn’t be sure how Dahlia managed to get hold of the medicine in Mikhail’s jacket, but the crucial point was that he noticed. The bigger concern was that he didn’t ask about the whereabouts of the medicine. It made her uneasy, as if he knew exactly where it was.
“Does he think Dahlia gave it to me?”
Even so, she could just deny receiving it.
She didn’t want the medicine she had acquired with difficulty to be taken away.
‘It’s okay. He probably won’t know.’
Having hidden it in a place only she knew, even if he searched the entire room, he wouldn’t find it.
Emilia raised her head directly towards Mikhail’s gaze.
‘His gaze is quite blatant.’
He seemed to know that the medicine was with her.
She could have ignored it, but she didn’t.
The red eyes stared as if trying to read her thoughts.
“Is there something on my face?”
Mikhail didn’t answer her question.
“Tomorrow, let’s go to Count Ablio’s banquet together.”
“Why?”
Emilia asked, not knowing why Mikhail would want to go together.
“There are rumors in the newspapers praising our relationship. If we act separately all of a sudden, people might think we manipulated the news.”
“I don’t care. Didn’t we manipulate it anyway?”
Everyone would be suspicious. How many people would truly believe the contents of the article without question?
“Suspecting manipulation and being convinced that manipulation occurred are different things. They may not admit it, but they know.”
“….”
“Madam Kerren sent opera tickets.”
“…Even though such an incident happened at her own event, she has a good temperament.”
“Thanks to the party she hosted, her name has become well-known, so others will probably try to attend the next event.”
Since her salon had gained popularity in society, it seemed she was accepting it positively.
Emilia still couldn’t get used to this society.
Was using falsehoods and fabrications the only way to survive in a place filled with them?
“So, are you suggesting we go to the opera together as well?”
