She couldn’t bear it any longer. Desperately, she clutched his neck.
“Ah, ahh!”
Watching her unravel with his touch was rather enjoyable. She had held back for so long, but now she couldn’t help but moan.
Emilia was bewildered by his sudden actions. No, she went beyond that and felt like she was losing control to his stimulating touch, aiding her excitement.
She anticipated how she might look beneath this beastly man. Did he change his mind about wanting to finish quickly after all? She bit her lips even harder.
“Ah, uh!”
However, his movements became more intense along with his touch. Her arousal made him glide even smoother. As he thrust forcefully, she moaned continuously.
It seemed this relentless act would only stop when he released his seed inside her. Emilia struggled to catch her breath and looked up at him, pleading.
“Sir, Please… ah!”
She didn’t want to see herself like this anymore. She desperately wished he would finish quickly. His red eyes, which had slightly softened, suddenly sparkled with regained sanity.
With a slight adjustment to his rhythm, he thrust all the way in. His throbbing member, filled with his essence, pulsated inside her. Finally, a rough moan escaped his lips.
“Ha…”
A rush of warmth flooded her insides. Mikhail’s body separated from hers. As the tension in the body eased, relief poured in.
Emilia’s body was so weak that she couldn’t even move. She couldn’t resist the rush of drowsiness and closed her eyes.

Where did it all go wrong?
Emilia buried her face in the bathtub, recalling the past.
“Calm down. You have to think rationally.”
But did she even have any rationality left in her right now? She wanted to kill Duke Heinrich by any means necessary.
After killing King Speyer von Konrad, the current monarch, the second prince, Adrian Konrad, was placed on the throne. He was not suitable to be king. There was already a designated heir, yet they wanted to put a mistress’ son on the throne.
And the way he achieved this throne was far from honorable.
‘He’s out of his mind.’
Duke Mikhail von Heinrich. Nobody knew about his past. Various speculations surrounded him. One thing was certain: he had spent a long time in another country before coming to the Bartch Kingdom.
He had achieved great feats and earned the king’s trust, but he supported the second prince instead of the first. Emilia couldn’t understand his actions. She couldn’t grasp his intentions.
She simply thought he had no real insight into the situation, given his time spent in another country and his lack of knowledge about the current royal affairs. But when she heard what people usually said about him, she wondered if he might be rational after all.
‘Rational, yet infuriatingly foolish and rude.’
Emilia muttered softly as she washed herself.
Her inner thighs still tingled. Even though she had rinsed them with water, the memory of his presence in that intimate place haunted her, and she tightly closed her eyes.
It had been an ordinary day with nothing special about it. However, suddenly, the strange atmosphere and tension surrounding the castle walls led to a rapid sequence of events.
And now, she had become the wife of the leader at the forefront of the rebellion. It was hard to believe that a rebellion had even occurred, let alone that her own family had cast her aside.
Emilia’s mind was still spinning, trying to figure out how to come to terms with it all.
But she couldn’t afford to wallow in despair forever. Emilia suddenly remembered what he had told her: “Hide your claws and wait for the opportunity.”
Her expression changed abruptly. Surely, he didn’t mean she had to continue fulfilling her marital duties under these extraordinary circumstances, did he?
‘No, it can’t be… surely…’
She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. What mattered now was finding a way to salvage the situation.

Leaving Emilia exhausted and asleep in the bed, Mikhail headed to another room and discarded his soiled clothes. There was never any intention of sharing a room with her from the beginning even if it was a forced bond.
He ran his fingers through his hair and began to wash himself. He had never expected Adrian to make such a proposition to him.
“Offer hope to the opposing faction. So, how about bringing Emilia von Loren as my mistress?”
“It doesn’t seem like a good idea. If the existence of a mistress is revealed before a queen is chosen, no one will try to place their daughter in the queen’s position.”
“But killing her would be a waste, wouldn’t it? We need a means to control the opposition. That’s why I’m saying, now is the time for you to demonstrate your loyalty.”
He should have realized something was off when Adrian’s eyes began to gleam strangely. Mikhail couldn’t believe his ears. He barely managed to suppress the mistake of asking Adrian if he had spoken properly.
“Take her as your wife. Keep her by your side and ensure she has no other thoughts, watch her and put her in shackles.”
“…Monitoring is something I can do without hesitation. If you say I should welcome her as my wife, I will follow your command.”
It was not a difficult proposition. To keep a close eye on her, it was only right to have her by his side. He understood Adrian’s anxiety as well. Adrian hadn’t come to the throne through legitimate means, so it was natural for him to be uneasy.
However, what followed was an order even Mikhail found difficult to accept.
“And make her pregnant with your child. That way, the opposing side will view her as a traitor, and they won’t support her. Isolate her by ensuring no one stands by her side.”
