I Transmigrated as my Bias's Messenger Bird - Chapter 13
The unbelievable reality made my pupils quiver with unease. It’s supposed to be a 50% chance, yet it never seems to work. If it fails this miserably, what’s the point of having a skill that’s utterly unusable??
Fueled by a tinge of anger, I clenched my fist when suddenly, a knock.
“May I come in?”
Someone had arrived at the room.
‘Oh, that was close.’
I hurriedly closed the window and opened the door.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Luke.”
Dark navy blue hair. Dressed impeccably without a single crease in his uniform, he politely introduced himself and approached me.
‘I think I recognize you from somewhere… Ah, the man who greeted Rai at the Gateway.’
“I’ve been instructed to attend to your medical needs, Miss Keisha. But first, let’s get you to bed.”
“Ah, yes…”
The man named Luke gently led me over to the bed. After sitting me down on the bed and putting my feet up, he pulled up a chair, sat down next to me, and gently placed his hand on my left ankle. A moment later, a warm sensation passed through my body.
“These aren’t severe burns, I don’t think you need to worry too much.”
“Thank you.”
“They should be completely healed by tomorrow.”
As he laid his hands on me a few more times, sending warmth through me, Luke’s inscrutable gaze briefly touched my face and then moved away.
‘What kind of look was that?’ I asked, feeling puzzled.
“I heard you came here as an exchange student.”
“Oh, yeah…”
Rumors had already begun spreading about me. I’m embarrassed.
“If you need any help with your classes, feel free to ask any time.”
“Huh?”
“Oh, I’m a teaching assistant in the Department of Magic at the Royal Academy.”
“Ah… Yes, Mr. Teaching Assistant. Uh, hello.”
I haven’t even told them I’m studying magic yet, and the professors and assistants are already paying attention to me. I’m genuinely scared.
Whether he noticed my unease or not, Luke smiled lightly, stood up from his seat, neatly organized the chair, then turned back to address me.
“By the way, today, you’ll need to immerse yourself in the Well of Healing on the 3rd floor of the Mage Tower for at least 30 minutes.”
“Well of Healing…?”
“Yes, it’s a pool with highly concentrated mana. It’ll significantly aid in recovery.”
“Is it open to anyone?”
Say, someone like me, an elf?
Though I couldn’t muster the courage to voice that question, the kind-hearted Luke responded with a gentle smile.
“Miss Keisha is a guest here at the Tower, not just a random person. Since there are no reservations after this evening, feel free to use it without worry.”
“…Really?” I asked incredulously.
“Yes, you can trust me. I am the keeper of the Well, after all.”
“Ah. Thank you.”
Confirmed. If the manager has given permission, why not?
I let my guard down for the first time and smiled at Luke, who reciprocated with a gentle smile as he turned to leave.
‘If he’s so sweet and nice, and he’s so genuine and handsome, why haven’t I seen him in gameplay…’
It seems like characters associated with the routes I couldn’t access during my playthrough are appearing. I’ve been busy trying to win Rai’s favor in the main storyline, and now I’m unnecessarily attracting the attention of the Department of Magic… I’ll have to stay on my toes.

At the topmost floor of the Magic Tower, Rai and Reina were alone in their office, shielded from even a ray of sunlight.
“They say the rescued elf is a student from the Royal Academy,” Reina stated.
“A student? Huh,” Rai sneered softly. “An elf learning human magic… Can we even believe that?”
“They seemed pretty sincere when they said it was to learn multicultural magic.”
“Absurd,” Rai chuckled, shaking his head. It was a ludicrous notion. ‘Aren’t elves known as one of the most arrogant races in this world?’
It made no sense that such beings would come to learn the knowledge of another culture.
“See to her wounds and send her off,” Rai casually remarked, dismissing the matter as unworthy of deeper consideration.
Observing Rai’s indifferent response, Reina seemed about to add something but swallowed her words.
“Yes, sir.”
It was no secret that the Tower Lord hated elves with a passion, so when he rescued an elf girl, they were all a little surprised.
After watching him for a moment, Reina placed a letter in front of Rai. The envelope was made of fine paper with a faint sheen, and the golden seal of a lion’s face was stamped on the outside.
“Right. A missive has arrived from the imperial court. Probably an invitation to a royal banquet.”
“Even though I’ve declined attending such events every time, they persistently send these missives,” Rai remarked.
“So you’re not going this time either?”
“I’m not going.”
Rai paused for a moment, then looked up as if he’d remembered something.
“Was the letter delivered by Coo?”
“No. Coo hasn’t returned yet.”
“That won’t work. Deploy the highest-level detection magic.”
“Do we really need the detection magic? Perhaps she’s just feeding somewhere around…”
“Maybe she’s been injured somewhere.”
“Right…understood.”
Reina bowed her head. She knew there was no point to insist on Coo. Just last month, she had to use a long-distance teleportation spell that not even the Emperor uses to retrieve dried bugs, the most elusive snack in the Empire.
She immediately thought it was time to prepare the detection magic. It’s unfortunate it’s the highest level; they’d probably need two more assistants.
