I Transmigrated as my Bias's Messenger Bird - Chapter 2
Describe how you felt when you met your ultimate bias in your dream. (10 points)
I had never even imagined such a scenario, so I was at a loss for words. Should I be happy about this extremely close fan meeting? But is it really a fan meeting at this point?
At this moment, I was being treated to dried bugs and grains by my bias.
While looking at Rai’s face, he handed me a crystal bowl neatly filled with bugs and grains. I couldn’t help but feel a little moved. Most of the time, when a 2D character turns into 3D, it’s a disaster, but real life can sometimes be overwhelmingly superior.
However, my momentary excitement was interrupted by an unexpected internal conflict. Visually, dried bugs were too repulsive, but instinctively, they felt like delicious snacks.
‘Should I eat them? No, I shouldn’t. Should I just eat one? No, you can’t.’
As I grappled with this internal conflict, Rai, with his long fingers, slowly pulled out a note from my ankle.
“Was it today…?”
Rai sighed softly as he spoke. It was as if he were checking a note for a routine business meeting. Then the door opened, and a woman with short orange hair walked in.
‘She looks familiar… Oh, I remember.’
Every time I tried to conquer the Lord and visited the tower, she would appear without fail and say, “The Tower Lord is currently absent,” then show me the door.
“My Lord , there’s a report of light coming down at the gate.”
“Oh, I just received it.”
“Will you go there right now?”
“Yes.”
‘The gate?’
Come to think of it, the place where Mina arrives after moving dimensions is a garden with a gateway, and the character she first encounters there is Rai. Rai approached Mina, acting as if he was a gentle gardener tending to the flowers.
He was my ultimate bias in the illustration right from the start, so I thought: “Okay, my first playthrough goes to you!” Contrary to my aspirations though, I rarely had any encounters with Rai afterward. It was a rather different pattern from the other male characters, who you’d inevitably meet at various points in the game.
The player’s manual introduced Rai as a hero with immense power and secrets, but there were no events in the game that showcased such characteristics.
One of the few things I learned through conversations with the other male characters was that Rai, for the most part, kept his identity hidden. He could often be found reading old books at the bookstore or enjoying a quiet stroll in a secluded park.
So, early on in the game, my daily routine included Royal Academy – Bookstore – Park – Return home, but even then, I only ran into his character once a week.
I followed this pattern repeatedly, so much so that I could recognize the bookstore and the park with just the sound of their background music. Whenever, by some chance, we did cross paths, Rai always maintained a considerable social distance.
“What can I do for you……?” or “It’s nice of you to say hello, but I don’t have anything to tell you.” He was so guarded that you’d think he was a shield warrior, not a Lord of a magic tower.
More importantly, Rai’s rejections became popular because he delivered them with what seemed to be not an ounce of sincerity. The most well-known among them was this:
“I’ll be on my way now. It’s time to feed the carrier pigeon.”
It was called the “New Rice Ending.” Once this phrase was uttered, there was no further progress, which is how it earned its nickname.
‘Huh…? Wait a minute, am I that pigeon?’
…Have I become the protagonist of the “New Rice Ending”?
‘No way… I’m a bird. My ultimate bias’s carrier pigeon.’
I got so heated that my wings fluttered, and I exclaimed, “Coo-coo.”
Hearing the sound, Rai turned to look at me with a puzzled expression that quickly turned into a warm smile.
“Coo. Do you not like the food?”
“That’s odd. Last time, you ate two bowls, but… I’ll prepare something different.”
‘Oh, so my name is Coo, right? Quite interesting.’
I fluttered my wings two more times in an attempt to express my bewilderment. Rai smiled slightly as he watched me.
“Are you feeling good?”
Then, a cheerful sound rang out, and a transparent window appeared.
[Congratulations! Rai Sherfied’s affection level for you has increased by 0.00121!]
‘…Are you kidding me?’
It looked like a dating sim, attaching absurd affection levels to everything. But isn’t attaching them to a bird crossing a line? And what’s with the numbers? It was so convoluted that it was hard to read. Truly a flop game. Fail. Oh, not when I’m around.
I couldn’t control my confusion and anger and flapped my wings recklessly.
“Hmm… it seems some feathers are flying.”
[Oh, my! Rai Sherfied’s affection level for you has decreased by 0.0001!]
“You’re being a little harsh on me just for ruffling some feathers.”
As I shivered from the merciless judgment, a new window pops up before my eyes.
[Congratulations! Rai Sherfied Route activated! From now on, the affection level will change according to your choices.]
[If the affection level reaches 10,000 within the time limit of 1 year, you will succeed in the conquest.]
[Current Affection Level: ???/10,000/Unable to confirm.]
[Penalty for failure: Annihilation.]
…Huh?
I’m a pigeon but the romance route with the Tower Lord is activated?
