I Transmigrated as my Bias's Messenger Bird - Chapter 26
After taking a deep breath, I opened the door of the store and stepped outside.
‘Where exactly have I been watched from?’
My head was spinning trying to figure out what excuse I could come up with if Rai questioned me.
“…Hmm?”
However, when I finally opened and stepped out of the door, there was no one on the street. Odd. Dito clearly mentioned someone watching. Was Dito just seeing things? Or did they just pass by?
Lost in thought, I walked towards the end of the alley and noticed two familiar figures.
“This is the commercial district. As a token to commemorate today, let me buy you a little gift.”
“Really…? Thank you, Your Highness.”
It was Mina and Edin, strolling through the village. Seeing a scene that was once a part of my memories but from the perspective of an outsider… It felt strangely surreal. Here, Edin presents her with a silver necklace bejeweled with a gem called a fairy tear. Mina puts the necklace around her neck and laughs with joy, while Edin watches in delight.
I trailed the two of them, intrigued by the way the scenes played out in my memory. It was like watching a third-person perspective of the events I had collected. Observing them made my event-collecting geek self inwardly squeal with joy.
“Stop there,” ordered a cold voice just behind me.
That voice… Even without turning around, I knew. I squirmed a little and turned around to see a pair of turquoise eyes staring down at me.
‘Wait. I don’t know what it is, but it’s not what you think it is.’
“…Tower Lord? Why are you here? Um, I…”
“Really. Are you going to watch Edin and write about him this time?”
“…What? Uh… No, that’s not…”
“Follow me.”
Being led by Rai’s firm grip that didn’t let go, I began to be dragged away without much choice.
Please save me.

I was sitting face to face with Rai in a window seat of a teahouse at the corner of the commercial district. It really looked like a date spot for couples. I had anticipated being dragged into some grim torture chamber by Rai, so finding myself in this completely different placewas a little disorienting.
Rai, unfazed by my reaction, sipped his black tea. Watching him calmly drink from his cup, I felt compelled to say something.
Just as I was about to open my mouth, Rai nonchalantly asked, “Were you always so interested in the human world?” His gaze remained fixed on his teacup.
“Uh, well… a little, yes,” I awkwardly replied, forcing a laugh.
‘I’m originally human, you know. Oh, but from a different world…’
I tried to gauge Rai’s reaction, but he didn’t seem to have one yet.
‘But to start with that question… Does he know about the fishing rod incident? I haven’t been caught?’
Rai lowered his teacup and said, “Yes, I’ve heard that there’s been a vague yearning for the human world among the younger elves lately.”
“Ah, yes… That’s right.”
It seemed like Rai might not know about the fishing rod incident after all. With a sigh of relief, his gaze shifted towards me.
“This isn’t your first time in Alucina, is it?” he asked. His sharp turquoise eyes seemed to see right through me.
“…Huh? Well… yes.”
‘Wait, did he find out I was the player before?’
“You came in a different form before.”
“…Yes?”
Oh, boy… Did he find out?
“You seem to have a talent for transformation.”
“Uh… yes?”
“Putting together your words, there seems to be one conclusion. You’ve conversed with me before and walked the paths I’ve taken. However, I have no memory of you. Hence, the conclusion is that you came here in a transformed state.”
“…Ah…”
“Judging by the fact that you didn’t reveal your transformation to me, it seems you’re skilled at concealing mana.”
“…Yes, that’s right.”
That’s not true, but if he says so, I guess I’ll take it.
The corner of Rai’s mouth quirked up, if only for a moment, as if he liked his reasoning. Then he suddenly resumed his usual impassive expression and spoke.
“Why are you stalking the Crown Prince?”
