I Transmigrated as my Bias's Messenger Bird - Chapter 28
Once back in my room, I immediately opened the grimoire.
‘Didn’t you say the book would show me magic if I asked? Please, show me some magic, dear book!’
I put my hand on the book as it said, and after about three seconds, a whirlwind of light swirled out of it. Three pictures appeared like holograms. Oh, the book has answered my plea! Thank you, dear book.
[1-Star Amplification Spell – Able to speak loudly enough to be heard within 100 meters. Usable once per day.]
[2-Star Concealment Spell – Can hide from targets of 2-star level or lower. Usable for 10 minutes a day.]
[1-Star Teleportation Spell – Able to teleport to a place previously visited. Usable twice a day.]
But it feels like I’ve pulled out scraps. …Amplification spell? I can’t quite fathom why I would need that. Pass.
2-Star Concealment Spell… It’s somewhat tempting, but since it’s not immediately useful, I’ll pass. I think I’ll need that last spell the most right now. Given that I’m being watched, something was inevitable. Because while I’m living my life as Keisha, the tower will flip again with Coo missing, and this time Rai will directly intervene this time. If I were caught here, it would truly be game over.
That’s why I need the real Coo.
Upon choosing the spell, lights emerged from the grimoire and swirled into my body.
[You have acquired a new skill! – 1-Star Teleportation Spell.]
At that moment, unknown knowledge naturally floated into my mind. It was as if things I didn’t know suddenly became clear. So, I decided to test it immediately. I cast the teleportation spell to Ventus’s room.
“Ah!!!”
I saw Ventus in pure white pajamas tumbling off the bed. It worked.
“Yup, got it, ah!”
This seemed to break Ventus a bit, but it didn’t matter
“You can see me now, right? The teleportation was a success, wasn’t it?”
“Th-th-this… is… insane!!”
“Quickly hand over Coo. I need her for something.”
“H-how. No, why! What…”
“Forget it. I’ll get her. She’s in that room over there, right?”
Recalling the memory, I headed to the room where Ventus had brought Coo out before. Upon opening the door, I saw Coo inside a corner of a cage, hurriedly eating feed. Bingo.
As I walked out holding the cage, Ventus, now holding slippers in his hand, had assumed a combat stance.
“Put that down. Or else… Or else…!!”
“I have somewhere to be.”
“You’re going to get in big trouble, I swear.”
“That’s… not my problem, I guess. Right?”
Ventus’s pupils dilated, and I returned to my room holding Coo. It was a successful mission.
Now what? I needed to send this pigeon back to its original location.
For the time being, I have no choice but to assume the identity of foreign exchange student Keisha. I carefully took out Coo and flung her outside. Although Coo had turned into a squishy ball, it shouldn’t matter much.
I’m counting on you from here on in, Coo.

At the top floor of the Mage Tower, Rai entered his study and hung his coat on the rack. He paused. His deliberate gaze wandered over to the empty cage.
Coo wasn’t there.
“Coo…?”
Rai’s eyes fluttered for a moment, and then a bird flew in front of him. Coo flew straight into the cage and began pecking at the pile of food.
Rai approached the cage slowly, observing Coo closely.
“Has your appetite returned…?”
Lately, Coo hadn’t been eating the dried bugs, an unusual behavior for the bird who would typically pick out the dried bugs over grains. Rai pondered whether Coo’s preferences had changed.
“You were a bit picky for a while.”
At Rai’s affectionate words, Coo, with a plump appearance, briefly glanced up while eating the feed. Soon after, it resumed munching on the bugs. Rai’s eyes narrowed as he watched Coo.
“However, Coo… Where did you go all alone? What would you do if you met someone dangerous outside?”
“Coo?”
“You must not eat anything given by suspicious individuals. Understand?”
A hint of concern lingered in Rai’s gaze. Coo remained focused on eating the feed.
“Did you find something interesting outside? Or perhaps, did you find a potential mate?” Rai blurted out, then stopped. “Sneaking a peek at someone because they’re appealing… It’s similar to what I encountered earlier.”
Naturally associating it with the elf who had shadowed Edin, Rai found himself thinking about her demeanor.
However, Coo tapped her cage with her beak and diverted his attention. Rai snapped out of his reverie and turned back to look at Coo. In the short interval, Coo had completely cleared the feed bowl and seemed different, fluttering its wings as if asking for more.
“Already finished eating?”
Rai, reaching for more feed, glanced at Coo. Then, he paused. Something was off. There was definitely something different compared to before. Certainly, there was something…
“…Did you get fatter?”
Yes, Coo had become rounder. Could a bird change its shape so drastically in such a short time?
“…Hmm.”
Rai’s hand that had reached for the feeder came back down. Something was odd indeed. Extraordinary measures were needed.
“…Dried bugs are prohibited for the time being.”
