I Transmigrated as my Bias's Messenger Bird - Chapter 6
Pretending to eat in moderation, the butler sent me on my way. However, a new problem had arisen. It seemed that without a note delivery mission this time, there was no automatic flight assistance.
Thus, I set my course to the east, adjusting my direction while wandering through the vast sky. The feeling of the chilly winter breeze seeping through my feathers, slicing through the open sky, wasn’t that bad at all.
It was like taking a solitary walk in a nearby park during lunch break at work. Quiet, the sound of the wind, and a bit liberating.
And so, with my eyes closed and wings spread wide, I was soaring through the sky when it happened.
‘Here I am in the sky, flying, and someone’s calling me. Did I hear it wrong?’
With a sense of befuddlement, I continued my flight.
“Oh…don’t bother me, please.”
A frightening-looking bird flew by me. Its huge body covered in white head hair and dark chestnut-colored feathers…what. Is it an eagle?
“…are you an eagle?”
“…what?”
“Isn’t it …? I don’t know much about birds….”
Wow, but I guess I am a bird. I can talk to birds.
I flew along, looking a little puzzled, and the eagle comes right up to me.
“…Are you really going to be this hard-headed?”
What in the world… So there are troublemakers among birds too, huh? I had no idea I’d get picked on by a bird while flying along a path.
‘Let’s pretend not to notice. Let’s fly as fast as possible and escape.’
I put more effort into flapping my wings, increasing my speed. However, it was all futile in front of the massive bird, and the troublesome bird suddenly pecked at the back of my head.
“Ah…!!”
“Just go down. Talk to me when you land.”
“…I don’t want to. I really don’t.”
“If you continue to make this difficult, this time it’ll be for real…”
“…Alright, I got it. Calm down.”
It seemed to be a pretty violent bird, and I decided to go down for now to protect the feathers on the back of my head.

The troublesome bird and I landed on a certain red rooftop. Despite it being winter, the roof, basking in the midday sunlight, emanated a slight warmth.
Bathed in the dazzling sunlight, the troublesome bird I faced on that rooftop looked exceptionally massive. No matter how you looked at it, it had to be an eagle. If that’s not an eagle, then what in the world is it?
As I looked at it with a skeptical gaze, the troublesome bird spoke.
“You missed two reports. Explain.”
“…What? I’m not sure what you mean…”
“…Explain properly.”
Honestly, I had no idea what it was talking about, so I asked for clarification. But the troublesome bird seemed genuinely infuriated, and its voice took on an aggressive tone. It’s trying to intimidate me. I need to come up with some explanation…
“…I understand it’s hard to believe, but I woke up in this state. I truly don’t understand what you’re saying at all…”
That was the moment.
“I told you to explain properly.”
It felt like an instant whirlwind, and it seemed to envelop the troublesome bird’s body.
When the long arm, emerging from the smoke released by the whirlwind, clenched my throat, the troublesome bird was no longer there.
In its place was an enigmatic man with emerald hair, pointed ears, crimson eyes, and dazzlingly pale skin. He had a menacing build and an appearance I had never seen in any game before. He glared at me as if he was growling.
“You…”
“…Who are you?”
Hearing my words, the man’s brow furrowed slightly. Then, his crimson eyes scrutinized my face as if verifying the truth of my words.
“…Why are you still like this?”
“…I’m not sure what you mean.”
The man relaxed his clenched hands a little.
“Why isn’t the transformation wearing off?”
“…I… You seem to have mistaken me for another person… I mean, another bird…”
“Why? How?”
The man, as if finding it hard to believe this reality, touched his forehead with his left hand. His right hand still held me firmly. I wished he would release me a bit and not startle me further.
“It’s true. Once I regained my senses, I was in this bird form… I’ve been like this all along.”
“Did you lose your memory? Maybe… did you reveal your true self to the Tower Lord? Is that why you ended up like this?”
“…I don’t think so, maybe.”
I recalled Rai’s kindly calling me “Coo.” Perhaps it wasn’t revealing my true identity. But anyway, revealing my true self? What am I?
“What is my true identity…?”
“…Ha, this is maddening.”
The man finally released me and ran both his hands through his face. Seeing him from this angle, he truly looked like a fairy. His emerald hair seemed to emit its own light, dazzling to an almost unreal extent.
“This won’t do. Let’s go back for now.”
“Go back…? Where to?”
“…wait.”
Pow!
The man transformed back into an eagle, spreading his large wings, grabbed my torso with his giant feet, and soared high into the air with a single flap of his wings.
“Caaaaaaw..!”
The sudden change in altitude left me dizzy, and I blacked out.

I woke up about two times in the middle of it. Only to lose consciousness again right away.
Flying through the high sky with nothing but clouds below, held by a strange eagle and carried sideways on his enormous talon, the situation was so painfully surreal that as soon as I opened my eyes, I immediately lost consciousness again.
“Get your act together if you’re awake. Open your eyes. Don’t pretend to be asleep.”
Hmm, it seems like I’ve been found out. Actually, I woke up earlier, but I didn’t have the courage to open my eyes, so I kept them closed. Yet, he detected it as if by magic.
When I cautiously opened my eyes a little, the man with the crimson eyes I had seen before was looking down at me. He seemed quite displeased, with furrows on his forehead.
“…Uhh… Where is this?”
I nonchalantly tried to get up, as if I didn’t know anything, but my body froze. The room was lit with glowing mauve fireflies and walls that looked like tree trunks woven together. The luminous creatures were visible through the window. Even a quick glance told me that this was not the Alucina Empire.
“Have you really lost my memory…or are you just pretending to lose it?”
The man clucked his tongue, his face full of discontent.
“It’s Regia, get up, let’s go to the Monarch.”
