I Transmigrated as my Bias's Messenger Bird - Chapter 9
Automatic is usually the best.
Some people prefer manual control in games, valuing the hands-on experience, but I’m a staunch advocate of fully automatic games. Beyond just automatic combat and automatic movement, I also prefer automatic inventory management and automatic enhancement.
My friend once said to me, “Why do you even play games if you’re going to do this?” So I replied, “Don’t you know the fun of effortless gains?” That’s how passionate I am about automatic play.
“Automatic cancel. Cancel. Cancel, please.”
[Automatic movement through Coo-Coo skill cannot be canceled.]
“Oh, for the love of—!”
For the past ten minutes, I had been pleading for an automatic cancel while being dragged along by automatic movement.
Whiiiiing! Crash!
Oh, man. Another huge fireball fell from the sky.
‘That’s why… who would have known such a treacherous place was on the automatic movement path?’
I thought it was a little odd that there was acrid smoke for half an hour, but I assumed it was just someone camping out and starting a fire. That’s how dangerous a rush to judgment can be.
It wasn’t until about 10 minutes ago that things really started to get weird. Out of nowhere, a flock of birds were flying across the sky in a swarm, and when I looked closely, I realized that they were all blue in color, with their lower molars protruding upward in a gigantic way. Their hair was scattered and fiery red.
‘Trolls. Trolls!’
These creatures were flying on the backs of winged reptiles, and they were moving energetically, soaring through the sky, when suddenly, enormous fireballs started raining down upon them.
Those hit by the fireballs went up in flames and plummeted to the ground, only to be replaced by another horde swooping in to take their place. They must have gritted their teeth and set off, and I was flying through them, crying.
“Please cancel it. I made a mistake.”
That must have been the moment when my wings began to lower my altitude. I couldn’t comprehend why I was descending.
‘Why am I coming down here?’
My wings, which had been flapping vigorously, began to adjust their angle gradually. My altitude was decreasing like a landing airplane, and finally, I saw the ground beneath the clouds.
“Oh…”
I cursed under my breath when I saw the ground below, and rightly so, for a large field was filled with the remains of downed trolls. The entire field looked like it was on fire, and the heat was hellishly intense.
My auto-movement had no mercy, however, and I began flying at a lower altitude, regardless of the flames. My feathers began to scorch as I did so, and to either side of me, chirping trolls fell in flames.
My beak and feathers were scorching, and my surroundings were becoming hotter and hotter. I felt as if my head was also on fire. My mind started to fade.
‘Can I get roasted as I fly…?’
My vision began to narrow from the outside, just like the ending scenes of a retro movie.
And so, I blacked out entirely, my consciousness engulfed in darkness.

The burning remains of the trolls scattered like snow over the fields. Awe flashed across the faces of the mages on the hill as the overwhelming sight filled the sky.
“I’ve never seen the Tower Lord’s Meteor before.”
“Me neither. I never thought I’d see it here. The toil of today’s extermination was worth it.”
There probably wasn’t a single mage in the entire continent who didn’t know about Lord Rai Sherfied, the Lord of the Magic Tower in the Alucina Empire.
The great tales that followed his name were always the main attraction for bards. Among them, the most popular theme was undoubtedly the Battle of the Ashen Gorge.
“When I first heard about Meteor wiping out an army of demons from hell, or the Wizard of Hellfire, I thought it was a gross exaggeration.”
“Exactly. I thought it was some mad bard spouting off.”
“That was back in the days when people believed that Meteor meant summoning a fireball.”
“Yeah, well, no one imagined that something so powerful could be scattered like snow.”
Not long ago, trolls who had rampaged through a village were now falling from the sky like moths on fire.
“Those trolls are quite serious, aren’t they? Who would have thought they could charge in such numbers?”
“We’ve underestimated them in the past and sent out our scouting units, and they were completely wiped out. They probably felt the urgency of the situation. Still, they rushed in without knowing it was all for nothing.”
“Oh, so you have time for small talk?”
At Reina’s voice approaching from behind, the wizards who were chatting with each other quickly corrected their posture.
“Oh, no!”
“We were on our way to report that everything is under control…”
“You must have been distracted by that… I understand.”
Rayna nodded as if she understood, smiling and tilting her head.
“Indeed, the Tower Lord’s Meteor is something you never get used to, no matter how many times you see it.”
Reina stared at the scattering trolls for a moment, then looked away. Turning her head, she caught sight of Rai standing alone a short distance away.
