The kiss between them continued for quite a while. It became difficult to distinguish whose breaths were whose, whether they were Agatha’s or Cain’s.
This wasn’t supposed to happen. She was merely concerned about his wound, but now her mind went blank as Cain’s hand caressed the nape of her neck.
Amid the confusion, one thing became clear.
She didn’t want to part from him.
She wanted to stay with him longer.
When Agatha gasped for breath, Cain reluctantly let go of her. Her shoulders rising and falling as she swallowed her regret.
She wondered if this kiss would change their relationship or if it was just a fleeting moment of impulse. What was he thinking, doing this to her?
“Breathe, Agatha.”
Cain whispered. She lifted her messed up head to find him smiling brightly at her.
Seeing him smile so widely left her momentarily dazed.
She had always known he was handsome; she had been entranced the first time she saw him. Yet, there was something different now.
Back then, she had only felt fear and uncertainty. But now, they shared jokes and he showed her his smiling face up close. It was strangely comforting.
As she gazed at his face, her heart started to race. She knew how dangerous it was to let her heart open to someone.
She had once vowed never to fully open her heart to anyone again, to minimize the pain of losing them.
“Your face is turning red.”
Cain said as she was looking at his face blankly. Before she could process his words, he leaned in and gently kissed her lips once more making her body stiffened in surprise once more and her momentarily stunned.
Just moments ago, they had been so formal with each other. Now, here they were, sharing casual kisses as if it were the most natural thing. Agatha felt as if she was seeing a different side of Cain, one that was unfamiliar yet captivating.
Before she knew it, Cain was gently pulling her closer and holding her hand.
“Don’t look at me. My face must be hideously red.”
“Hideous?”
“…”
“You’re beautiful.”
Cain’s words were accompanied by a long, lingering smile that made Agatha’s heart race even faster. She clenched the hand he held into a fist, trying to steady herself. What was he doing to her? To him, she was nothing more than a contractual partner, wasn’t she?
She feared getting her hopes up only to be disappointed. She reminded herself not to foolishly open her heart wide at the slightest sign of affection. Yet, her eyes couldn’t help but be drawn to his lips.
Even in that moment, his smile remained directed at her, causing her cheeks to flush even more.
“Sir…”
He leaned in for another slow kiss, and once again, she couldn’t push him away. She was intoxicated by this new sensation, her body yearning to embrace him fully even though she didn’t entirely understand what that meant.
Their lips met, tasting and exploring each other. The soft, warm contact was almost unbearably secret and sensuous.
After several minutes, Cain slowly pulled away. It was only for a moment, but it left her lips trembling with unspoken longing.
“Slowly…”
Cain’s hands gently encircled her waist, laying her down with a mix of caution and boldness. Agatha suddenly remembered the moment he had made his unusual proposal.
Despite their relationship being contractual, he had mentioned that they could share a bed if she wished. That image of him overlapped with the present.
“Si, Sir…”
“Shh. It’s alright.”
As Cain laid Agatha on the bed, his movements became even bolder. In one swift motion, he pulled the strings to undo her dress. Agatha nervously licked her drying lips.
With his lips brushing against her skin, Cain murmured softly as he began to move lower, kissing between her chest and descending further. Agatha’s heart raced, and a sense of fear gripped her, realizing something significant was about to happen if she didn’t stop him.
But he paused just below her collarbone.
“Ah…”
His lips were on her skin, and just when she thought he might kiss lower, Cain lifted his head and gently bit the nape of her neck. Was it just her imagination, or did he seem a bit rushed? His breathing, once calm, had grown as ragged as hers.
“Si, Sir…”
It felt strange. His fleeting kisses tickled while his breath burned hot. Every touch of his lips made her body twitch. Her chest heaved, her back arched, and her cheeks blushed deeply.
“Ah…”
Finally, a heated breath escaped her lips, accompanied by a sound so sultry she could hardly believe it was her own. Cain, now fully on top of her, pinned her arms with his hands, holding her firmly in place as he continued to kiss her.
