- If You're Being Held Hostage, Wiggle the Carrot!
- Chapter 75 - Friendship by the Bonfire
Since she was handling Ivan’s clothes and not someone else’s, she made sure to wash them meticulously which caused her to be late to dinner. She was upset that her efforts weren’t even being considered and even led to her being scolded. The more she thought about it, the more unfair it seemed.
However, a deep sigh softly reached her ears.
“Of course, I understand the need for personal time. I’m glad you feel comfortable enough to freely roam Wolf territory, but…”
Ivan reached out and placed his hand on her shoulder. With a solemn expression, he looked into her eyes and continued.
“Ruby, it can’t hurt to be careful.”
With the rest of her tribe abducted, did the Lions really fail to notice Ruby? This one lone herbivore?
Even if she were in her home territory, they had to be careful. While most Wolves were loyal to a fault, every group had its rogue actors.
Ruby’s cheeks flushed at his firm words, embarrassment washing over her as she realized the implications of his words. She was the one who came knocking on his door to ask for help, yet here she was complaining about personal time and causing him to worry.
The reason she initially sought personal time was to familiarize herself with the spirits here by exploring. However, she let my guard down for a moment and used it as if it were purely for leisure.
“…I’m sorry.”
“No, I spoke out of concern too, don’t take it too much to heart.”
“Okay.”
Ruby nodded in response, and Ivan looked at her with a gentle expression.
Then, he noticed the dirt and dust clinging to her white clothes. He gently flicked away the particles from her skirt. Liam, who had been silent, approached and offered a handkerchief.
“Miss, you have something on your cheek.”
Ruby remembered the sweet potato she’d eaten earlier and took the handkerchief to wipe it off. But Ivan was faster.
He took the offered handkerchief and murmured as he wiped away the black dust-like substance from her cheek.
“What did you do to get your face and clothes so dirty?”
“I was sucking[1].”
“!”
“There was a lot to suck…It was harder than I thought.”
“…What, sucking?”
“Yes, I’m quite good at sucking.”
Ivan looked down at Ruby, who seemed quite proud of herself, and then at each of the servants standing behind her.
The servants trembled as Ivan’s expression slowly turned to anger. They didn’t know why, but they could feel with every fiber of their being that their leader was angry.
An aura of ferocity was closing in on them.
At that moment, Liam discovered the hidden pile of freshly washed fabrics.
“…Miss.”
“Yes?”
“Did you wash all these clothes by hand?”
“Yes! They’re very clean, aren’t they?” Ruby answered very proudly.
But Ivan, with a voice mixed with embarrassment and anger, shouted, “Who dared to ask you to do the laundry!”
Ruby bit her lip as her face turned bright red. She remembered the sweet potatoes in front of the campfire earlier.
Misinterpreting what she said earlier, and already red-faced Ivan became even angrier and more embarrassed.
It seemed like the effects of her heat were lingering on him too for the time being. The mere mention of sucking brought to mind Ruby’s face as she moaned with him filling her mouth.
He grabbed Ruby by the scruff of the neck and quickly made his way into the mansion. He figured he’d get this rabbit into his room first, and then he’d feel better.
Meanwhile, Louis watched the two from a distance, rubbing his throbbing forehead.
‘…Agatha, I can’t imagine how you would react right now.’
