In the Doghouse - Chapter 104
In the solitude of her bedroom—
“Eek…!”
Courtney, lying on the bed, gasped every time she turned the page. This was definitely an advanced book. No, even calling it ‘advanced’ seemed to be a severe understatement.
As she had anticipated, the book proudly covered breath control, just a few chapters after one detailing needle play, where spikes are stuck into the body like a porcupine. She didn’t even want to remember what the chapter in between had described.
“Crazy… Won’t this kill someone?”
Courtney shook her head at the disturbing illustrations. She now fully understood why Richard had only given her the first volume initially and why he had hesitated to hand over this one. If she had read this before the wedding, there was no way she would have agreed to the marriage, no matter who the groom was. She might have even ran away in the middle of the night.
Yet, she didn’t close the book completely. The world of perversion was vast, and through this book, she was experiencing it indirectly. The title ‘advanced’ that she had given it was fitting—each page was packed with strange and bizarre acts.
Even her idea of doodling, which she had come up with on her own, had a whole chapter dedicated to it. Except, instead of using a temporary magic pen, it involved permanent tattoos. That’s a no. Absolutely not.
Still…
‘It is kind of useful…’
Courtney stared blankly at the text. While more than half of it was unthinkable, the book wasn’t entirely useless. Whoever the author was, they had written it with remarkable detail and kindness.
The sections on how to stimulate a man’s anvs, how to mix pain and pleasure, were things even she found to be helpful. The way it was described wasn’t exactly pleasant, but it was still useful knowledge.
She read intently through the sections on how to properly clean out the body, but as usual, the next page made her gasp in horror.
“Aaack—! Seriously…!”
The book flew across the room as she threw it into the air.

The next morning, after completing the advanced volume, Courtney stormed into Richard’s office as soon as the sun rose. Despite the palace being in an uproar preparing for the upcoming banquet, none of that mattered to her.
When she barged into Richard’s office with a terrifying expression, fortunately, he was alone. Just like the day before, she got straight to the point.
“I am absolutely not doing this! This or this either!”
“Huh?”
Despite her second visit in as many days, Richard had no time to be happy about it. Courtney waved the book in front of his face, showing the pages she had marked. The illustrations showed bodies covered in cuts, others branded like livestock, and some submerged up to their necks in filth.
Richard glanced between the book and Courtney’s face before nodding.
“As you wish, Master.”
Courtney narrowed her eyes. His response was so straightforward that it made her even more suspicious. Determined to get a clear answer on exactly what she would never do, she opened the book again and pointed to the specific pages.
“Look at this—look at these!”
At that moment, the door suddenly burst open. Anton, who had just arrived at the palace, stood frozen, staring at them both in shock. Courtney, her face flushing bright red, quickly slammed the book shut.
Richard shot an obviously displeased look at his aide. Poor Anton, who had only shown up for work, greeted them in a subdued voice.
“Good morning, Your Highnesses…”
“Yes… good morning.”
Courtney awkwardly hid the book behind her back. She wasn’t outwardly showing anything, but her face burned with embarrassment. With an unnatural demeanor, she turned to leave.
“Well, I’ll be going now…”
“Courtney, we should finish our conversation.”
“I’ll step outside so you can continue,” Anton offered quickly.
“No! We’ll talk later!”
She fled the room as fast as she could. Even though Richard’s soft laughter reached her ears from behind, she was too embarrassed to turn around.
Of course, later at breakfast, she gave him a good, hard pinch.
