It Seems Like The Infamous Trash Can is Right Here! - Chapter 31
If it was going to reach Lionel’s ears anyway, it was better to get ahead of it.
As soon as I returned to the annex, I asked Lien to send a message to Lionel.
I carefully explained how I had no choice but to leave the estate without obtaining his permission, as I couldn’t refuse Vivian’s request.
There was a chance that Vivian would later be scolded by Lionel and that our relationship might sour because of it, but there was nothing I could do.
The Duke of Luanax was Lionel, not Vivian, and my employer was him, not her.
I also included our destination, so if he was worried, he could send someone after us.
Since Lionel was currently out, the message would have to pass through multiple hands before reaching him, so I gave Lien a generous sum for the errand and quickly began preparing for the outing.
Instead of my priestly robes, I chose a plain navy dress with no embellishments. I meticulously braided my hair and hid it beneath a coif, covering it once more with a veil.
To top it off, I wore thick-lensed glasses with no prescription.
By the time I was done, even my own family wouldn’t recognize me at a glance.
It was a relief to have prepared in advance.
Yet, even after finishing my preparations, I found myself pacing by the door, unable to bring myself to leave. In the end, I decided to use the trump card I had been saving.
There was no way I could step outside without being absolutely certain I wouldn’t run into Axion.
After ensuring the door and windows were securely shut and drawing the curtains tightly, I stepped into the wardrobe.
Curling up in the pitch-black space, I whispered.
Manifestation of Divinity: Type – Precognition.
An unavoidable, brilliant light radiated from my stigmata, filling the wardrobe entirely.
From the moment the stigmata had been etched onto my body and I had first felt divine power, I had been able to use not only Healing but also Precognition.
Naturally, this was my greatest secret.
If it were discovered that I possessed Precognition—a power as rare as the Oracle—I would undoubtedly be worshipped as a saint.
For someone like me, who needed to quietly hide from the crown prince’s gaze, that was the last thing I could afford.
Besides, this Precognition ability wasn’t all that remarkable.
It could only reveal glimpses of the near future, and even then, it was severely limited.
I had experimented relentlessly, hoping that if my ability developed like my divine healing had, I might one day be able to predict exactly when and where I would encounter Axion.
But from what I had gathered, fixed futures didn’t seem to exist.
The most reliable method I had discovered was the process of elimination.
“Five hours from now, what is the probability that Serenia Solen will not be at the Luanax estate?”
I murmured the precise future I wanted to check.
Target: Serenia Solen. Timeframe: Five hours from now.
The future wasn’t a single, definite path—people’s choices wove together in a tangled web of possibilities.
All I could do was determine the probability of my worst-case scenario coming true.
Five hours from now, the probability that Serenia Solen will not be at the Luanax estate: 5%.
Five percent.
Ambiguous, very ambiguous.
After estimating my remaining divine energy, I decided to check just one more thing.
“Then, what is the probability that Axion Varnas Lubarque will leave the imperial palace today?”
As long as the reason I failed to return within five hours wasn’t because of the crown prince, I could handle it.
The probability that Axion Varnas Lubarque will leave the imperial palace today: 0%.
Oh. Perfect.
I leaned back and let out a relieved sigh.
One day, I would inevitably cross paths with the crown prince—but at least it wouldn’t be today. That alone was enough to calm my nerves.
A few moments later, the brilliant light that had filled the wardrobe slowly faded.
Even though I had only used the power for about ten seconds, the divine energy it consumed was greater than casting advanced level healing multiple times in a row.
I practically had to crawl my way out of the wardrobe from the exhaustion, but I had no regrets.
If the probability of encountering the crown prince today had been higher than 5%, I would have hidden somewhere in the estate, even if it meant completely ruining my relationship with Vivian.
After one last check of my appearance, I stepped out of the annex and spotted the waiting carriage in front of the main house.

Um. Serenia… The prince not leaving the palace doesn’t help if someone takes YOU to the palace
