My Favorite Smut Author Is My Husband! - Chapter 6
Lily briefly regretted rushing into marriage so quickly, but soon brushed the feeling away. Though lazy by nature, once she made up her mind, she wasn’t the type to drag things out.
Even if he wasn’t the author and the book had been a gift, the fact that it was neatly placed on his desk suggested it suited his taste.
More than anything, Lily couldn’t forget the sensation of her palm barely containing the hefty object during that day.
“It was just like in the novels.”
It really was exactly as she had read.
They said a man’s member was so thick and heavy that a woman would struggle to hold it with both hands. If that was the size through his pants, it was surely even larger in reality.
“How do they even manage it?”
Curiosity sparked anew, and she opened the carriage window, staring intently at the people passing by, especially the men. None of them had anything bulging over their thighs like the Duke did that day.
Was it a secret that men kept hidden?
“I suppose I’ll find out after marriage.”
After all, men don’t know much about women’s cycles or other secrets, either. Up until now, her burning curiosity had been satisfied through books, but marriage would finally offer her all the answers.
Her earlier regret quickly subsided, and Lily let the wind lift her spirits. Though her well-groomed hair was becoming disheveled, she didn’t care, since she was on her way home anyway.
“I overdid it today. I should hurry home and rest.”
Most young ladies would be obsessing over choosing their dresses and preparing their appearance, but Lily had no interest in such things.
She knew she would look beautiful no matter what she wore, and she couldn’t even tell the difference between jewels and lace.
“Still, I suppose I should take a bath with scented oils two days before the wedding?”
What did interest her was taking care of her body, more so than the wedding dress.
She hadn’t paid attention to this before, but since she would experience her “first night” after marriage, she wanted the Duke to feel that she was soft and fragrant when he touched her, just like the heroines in K’s novels.
K’s heroines came in all shapes, whether voluptuous or slender, but one thing they all had in common was soft, fragrant skin.
“Just as I have expectations of him, he probably has expectations of me, too.”
Lily took off her gloves and gently touched the skin on the back of her hand.
Their bodies would be entangled, and though the scent might turn into something more sultry during their heated moments, she wanted it to be perfect.
“Oh, what am I going to do?”
No matter what she thought of, it always came back to the wedding night, and once again, Lily stomped her foot, unaware that the coachman had glanced back at her several times due to the bumpy ride.

Just as quickly as her wedding day had come, it passed in a blur.
Lily barely had time to process it all. One moment, her maids were bathing her; the next, she was in the middle of the ceremony, and after that, she was dancing. The constantly shifting scenery left her head spinning.
“This is the Duke’s marital bedroom.”
“It’s nice.”
It was only after everything was over and she had entered the Duke’s mansion that her senses returned. Inside, she was practically cheering, though she only managed to give a prim response and bite her lip to hold back her excitement.
She wanted nothing more than to rip off the heavy decorations she was wearing and leap into the spacious bed in front of her, but the butler and maids were still present, so she had to maintain her dignity.
“Do you have anything else to say?”
“Um… His Grace mentioned that since you seem quite exhausted from the ceremony, if you’d prefer, you could rest in your own room for the night…”
“No. I’m a little tired, but it’s fine. I’ll stay in this room tonight!”
“Very well! I’ll let His Grace know, my lady. There are refreshments and wine prepared, so please rest comfortably.”
Thud—
“Hah, trying to avoid the first night? Typical push and pull.”
Lily had been momentarily thrown off by the butler’s suggestion of separate rooms, but she quickly pieced things together.
She completely forgot that she had dozed off during the ceremony and stepped on the Duke’s feet multiple times during the evening dance. Instead, she assumed he was playing the classic “push and pull” game, just like in the novels she had read.
“Teasing me, huh… As expected.”
But judging by the butler’s somber expression and the gloomy faces of the servants, it was clear that none of them wanted the couple to sleep separately. Nor did Lily.
But what about the Duke? What did he want?
“I think I look pretty enough.”
Lily had been primped and polished since dawn by her maids, almost to the point of exhaustion. But because she hadn’t had time to check a mirror before entering the wedding hall, this was her first glimpse of herself with bridal makeup.
“Even if he’s not happy, it’s too late to complain. We’re already married.”
She thought she looked “pretty enough,” but the staff of her family had put all their effort into preparing her. She looked so pure and innocent that she seemed almost untouchable.
