My Perfect Omega - Chapter 102
Leila, who was straddling Sarah, felt liquid fall onto her face. Smiling brightly, she dropped the cap of the glass bottle containing the spider venom onto the floor.
Thud, roll…
As the round cap rolled on the floor, Sarah screamed.
“Ahhh!”
The venom of the velvet shadow spider is typically dealt orally, but it generates heat even when it comes into contact with the skin. When the venom touches the skin, it causes a burning sensation akin to a severe burn in an instant.
Holding her face and writhing in pain, Sarah heard Leila, who was still holding the bottle, tilt it further and speak.
“I haven’t poured it all yet.”
“No, no! Cough, ugh, auuugh!”
As Sarah screamed and tried to spit out the venom that had entered her mouth, it was too late. Leila, with a relieved expression, shook out the remaining venom from the bottle and then stepped back.
Thunk, roll… The empty bottle rolled to Lily’s feet. Even though it was empty, Lily let out a small scream and stepped back when it touched her foot.
At that moment, Leila felt a pang of regret that she couldn’t see Sarah’s condition. Overwhelmed by the satisfaction of punishing the person who tormented her for so long, she didn’t realize that the venom had also splattered onto her own fingers and arms.
Sarah writhed in agony, her movements so grotesque that Lily and the two mercenaries were frozen, unable to react.
“You wretched girl! Ugh, I’ll kill you! What are you doing? If you’ve taken the money, do your job!”
At Sarah’s shrill command, the two mercenaries cursed and grabbed Leila by the hair. As they roughly dragged her, Leila never took her eyes off the figure she believed to be Sarah.
She wanted to shout to the world that even though she was blind, she still had the right to make her own choices.
“Let go of me!”
“You vicious wench!”
The mercenaries, unable to properly restrain the struggling Leila, eventually tied her up. They grabbed each of her arms and pinned her down.
Even while forcibly laid on her stomach, Leila kept kicking, trying desperately to escape. As Lily stood by watching, Sarah, in a fit of rage, slapped her across the face.
Smack— Lily, who had been in a daze, fell to the ground with the nearby table. The wooden box on the table fell to the floor, and one of the remaining bottles of the velvet shadow spider venom rolled out.
As the bottle, now airborne from the impact, hit the floor, its cap came off. Seeing the contents spill, Sarah screamed and rushed to grab the bottle.
“Useless, all of you!”
She found everyone from her husband to her children unsatisfactory. She couldn’t understand how the fools in her household were any different from the fools here who couldn’t handle the situation as instructed.
Staggering, Sarah approached Leila. Gripping the last remaining venom tightly, she yanked Leila’s hair back. Despite the sound of tearing scalp, Sarah laughed gleefully.
“A few drops will only cause a fever, but this will be different.”
With a malevolent expression, Sarah motioned to the mercenaries. Seeing her face, the mercenaries grimaced and forced Leila’s mouth open.
Sarah poured the remaining venom into Leila’s open mouth.
“Mmmh…!”
Leila struggled, but one of the mercenaries held her mouth shut, forcing her to swallow the venom. Her throat burned as if it were on fire, and she could feel the venom spreading through her body.
As her strength faded, Leila trembled and hung her head weakly. Despite her will to live, she felt a sense of satisfaction in having resisted until the end.
Ah, now I can finally see you, Mother…
Happy at the thought of no longer being alone, Leila quietly smiled and closed her eyes. Darkness no longer frightened her.
