My Perfect Omega - Chapter 105
His words cast a heavy silence over the assembly. The thought of someone daring to kidnap the Duke of Bavenberg’s omega within his land stirred a murderous rage in everyone’s eyes.
Lucas’s gaze was the most piercing of all.
In his mind, the possibility that Leila had run away never existed. If it wasn’t an abduction, the only other option was that she sought the death she once desired.
He needed to make it clear that she could never leave his side, not in life or death. He would use any means necessary to retrieve his omega.
Dressed in his uniform and finishing by putting on his gloves, Lucas turned to the knights, who were standing in orderly formation, and shouted with authority.
“From this moment, I declare a state of emergency. Under the name of the Bavenberg Duchy, the only place you cannot enter is the Imperial Palace itself. As the unit bestowed by His Majesty the Emperor, eradicate the heinous criminals who kidnapped my mate!”
Max couldn’t look directly at Lucas, whose pheromones were so intense they stung his skin, but he understood his master’s sentiments well.
To an alpha, an omega was more than just a partner. They were the only ones who truly understood an alpha, serving as their loving sanctuary. The fact that omegas could bear an alpha’s heir was secondary.
Hearing Lucas’s command, the alphas responded with their mightiest voices.
“We obey your command, Your Grace!”
The knights split into squads and set off swiftly. Lucas also mounted his horse with agility. At that moment, the doctor approached, handing him a vial of suppressants.
“Your Grace, your pheromones have not fully stabilized. If you meet the young lady in this state, there’s no telling how your pheromones will react. Please keep this suppressant with you. I’ve just prepared one with stronger immediate effects.”
Lucas took the vial and tucked it into his jacket, saying,
“Thank you.”
“No problem. Safe travels.”
With the suppressants in hand, the doctor stepped back. Lucas pulled the reins sharply and set off. Watching Lucas and the knights disappear swiftly, Emma, Oliver, Philip, and the doctor couldn’t hide their worried expressions.
“I’ve never seen him so angry before.”
Lucas, normally friendly with his people, was an ideal master. Seeing him like this, they resolved to ensure that both he and Leila had a comfortable place to rest upon their return.
“Please, both of you, come back safely…”

In the capital, the first places to be sealed off during a conflict were the city gates. Lucas sent knights to each guard post to control the gates. Next, he headed to the most renowned information guild in the back alleys.
Information guilds primarily collected data on events that had already occurred. Most news, big or small, eventually flowed into these guilds. Since they gathered information through illegal means, Lucas usually wouldn’t even look their way, but the urgency of the situation demanded their help. So, he stormed into the most famous guild.
The armed knights’ intrusion left the guild’s information brokers in shock and fleeing, but the building was entirely locked down, leaving no escape.
“Who is the guild master?”
At Lucas’s question, a man hiding in the corner stepped forward. He might have ignored anyone else, but he couldn’t evade Lucas. By now, Lucas would already have his information.
“Greetings. I am the guild master.”
“Come with me for a talk.”
Lucas grabbed the guild master and dragged him into an empty room. The guild members knew well of Lucas’s exceptional swordsmanship and the extreme physical prowess of a hyper-dominant alpha, incomparable to ordinary humans.
Thus, they could only helplessly watch their guild master being taken away. If Lucas, who wielded both power and authority, decided to eliminate this place, it would be obliterated without a trace.
Inside the room, Lucas asked the guild master directly.
“Tell me everything about today’s unsavory events.”
The guild master, intimidated by Lucas’s menacing tone, divulged everything he knew. Lucas focused on incidents that could be related to Leila. One particular case caught his attention.
“Tell me more about that incident.”
“…Uh, that one seems the least significant.”
