My Perfect Omega - Chapter 115
Since regaining her sight, Leila had been happy every day. But she didn’t want to cover up what she had been through. She wanted to go to the Este County and tell them herself—it was she who was rejecting them as family.
“I never realized how happy and secure it feels to be able to see.”
“My lady… I really…”
Anna’s eyes welled up with tears at Leila’s words. Recently, Anna had reached a point where even watching falling leaves would make her cry.
Jonas, who was watching them from across the room, chuckled and said,
“You have quite the remarkable maid.”
“Yes, Anna has always been amazing.”
“Are you feeling better now?” Jonas asked, looking at her intently.
His face reminded Leila of her mother, who she had missed so much. His black hair, just like hers, fascinated her the more she looked.
“Why, is it strange to you?”
“…Yes.”
“Well, black hair isn’t common in our territory. But you should get used to your appearance now.”
“Yes, that’s true…”
Since she started seeing again, she encountered two problems.
One was having to look closely at Lucas’s face, and the second was being able to see her own face again.
When she was blind, she didn’t care about her appearance since she couldn’t see it. But now that she could see her face, she kept looking for a mirror, paying attention to her appearance and managing her expressions.
These small changes felt like the biggest transformations in her life.
“Leila.”
Lost in thought, she quickly responded to Jonas’s call.
“Yes, uncle.”
“I think it’s time for me to return to my estate.”
“…Yes, thank you so much.”
Now that she was healthy, there was no reason for him to stay at the duchy any longer. But he was her only blood relative, so she felt a pang of sadness.
Sensing her feelings, Jonas said,
“You can come visit anytime.”
As he said this, he took out a pendant necklace with the Keller County crest from his pocket. It was the very keepsake that Leila had given to Anna, her mother’s heirloom.
“This is something your mother left for you, so you should keep it. As long as you have this pendant, you’ll always be a cherished guest and family member at Keller County.”
Leila nodded silently. She had often teased Anna for being tearful, but she found herself just as prone to tears now.
“Now that I look closely, you and Anna are very alike. Especially when it comes to crying.”
Leila laughed brightly at Jonas’s words and finally said what she hadn’t been able to before.
“Of course. Anna is like my sister.”
“…My lady.”
Anna’s eyes filled with tears again, and Jonas couldn’t help but laugh. He stood up, gently ruffling Leila’s hair, and added,
“Well then, see you at your wedding.”
Blushing up to her neck at his presumption, Leila bowed her head. Jonas’s pleasant laughter filled the room again.

Even before Leila woke up, Lucas had given Philip an order: to exact revenge on the Este County. The stories he heard from Anna and Leila were outrageous.
Since Leila lost her mother, she had been continuously abused and neglected. The cause of her blindness was indeed the aftereffects of the velvet shadow spider’s venom.
However, since the abuse had been happening since she was a child, it was difficult to gather evidence. And finding concrete proof of what happened in that abandoned house was also challenging, except for one thing.
Lucas learned that Lily, the head maid of the Count’s household, had been at the scene. Anna and Leila had suggested bringing Lily in as a witness in exchange for leniency. Though distasteful, they argued it was a lesser evil to avoid a worse outcome.
