My Perfect Omega - Chapter 121
When Leila opened her eyes in the morning, the first thing she saw was a chiseled chest. Adjusting to seeing clearly again, this moment was always the hardest.
Lucas’s muscular physique, so different from her own, looked like a work of art. The thought of having been held by such a body made her unbearably embarrassed. She wondered what he thought of her body.
Trying to avoid the wide chest she saw every morning, she lifted her gaze and saw his equally handsome face. To merely say he was handsome was an understatement—his face was as delicate as a masterpiece.
Especially when the morning sunlight streamed in through the curtains and fell on his face, it was hard not to gasp in admiration. Today was no different.
“Wow…”
“Pfft.”
As Leila wriggled and got up, Lucas, who had been awakened by her movements, was aware of everything she was doing. He couldn’t help but laugh at her daily admiration.
“Are you awake?”
Pretending he had just woken up to avoid embarrassing her by admitting he had been awake while she admired his chest, he asked.
“Just now?”
“…Good.”
“What’s good?”
“There are things.”
Turning the conversation, Leila smiled brightly. Lucas, gazing at her smile, felt admiration surging within him. He was just as captivated by her appearance every day.
The couple, both pretending not to be awake, got up from bed together, washed up, and had breakfast. Despite Leila being able to cut her own steak now, Lucas still cut it for her.
“I think we might be the only ones who eat steak for breakfast.”
“Why wouldn’t you eat it in the morning?”
Raised eating meat since childhood, Lucas didn’t understand. Leila chuckled at his reaction and speared a piece of meat with her fork.
“Some might not afford it, and others might find it too heavy for the morning.”
“I can understand financial reasons, but not avoiding it because it’s heavy.”
“They say it feels burdensome.”
“Even more reason to not understand. You need a hearty breakfast to have energy all day.”
Leila murmured softly.
“You sound a bit old-fashioned…”
“What?”
Of course, he heard her, given the close distance and his sharp hearing. Leila’s comment hit a sensitive spot for Lucas, who was four years older than her.
“I didn’t say anything.”
Pretending not to know, she acted innocently, and Lucas internally trembled. He knew from experience that arguing would only make him look immature.
Leila was a very clever woman. She had soared in high society, a fact that Lucas appreciated. Grumbling, he finished cutting her steak and placed it in front of her.
“Thank you, darling.”
“…You’re welcome.”
Her affectionate words instantly lifted his mood. She had only recently started calling him like this and showing such cute affection.
After breakfast, the two parted ways to attend to their respective duties.

“Haah…”
Recently, Philip found it hard to concentrate because the Duke would sigh the moment he entered his office. Ignoring it and trying to work, Philip heard Lucas talking to himself.
“There’s no alpha as pitiful as me.”
“…”
“Because of that damnable auspicious date, I can’t even hold the wedding ceremony…”
“Since it’s a request from His Majesty the Emperor and His Holiness the Pope, I think it’s right to comply.”
At Philip’s response, Lucas, who was sprawled over his desk, lifted his head and shouted.
“Exactly! Why are they making such a fuss about my wedding?”
