My Perfect Omega - Chapter 132
“If you say anything more, I will really get angry.”
When Leila blushed up to her neck, Lucas realized she was embarrassed. He licked the soft palm covering his mouth with the tip of his tongue.
“Ah!”
Surprised, Leila pulled her hand away, and Lucas took her other hand and bit her fingers. He slowly licked them with his tongue and then whispered in a low voice,
“You liked it.”
“You… you…”
“You struggled with the knotting at first, but after that, I know you enjoyed it, Leila.”
His mischievous smile left Leila speechless. She was both annoyed and embarrassed, yet his handsome face was so captivating she couldn’t look away.
Pretending to be angry, she turned her back to him, but he hugged her from behind. His hands softly stroked her belly as he whispered apologies, and she found comfort in having someone who would indulge her whims.

“…Here is the report you requested, sir.”
Philip handed over the documents with a haggard face.
“Hmm, good work.”
Lucas, seated on the sofa, quickly scanned the report. He then wrote instructions on a piece of paper and handed it back to Philip along with the documents. Philip read the notes naturally.
Though it was something he could have said aloud, Lucas wrote it down. Philip glanced at Lucas and then at the woman lying next to him, causing a sharp sound to follow.
“You should know better than to look at my omega. Since you’re a beta, I’ll let you off with a warning.”
“…Yes, I’ll be careful.”
It had been about two months since the rut cycle ended. After confirming the pregnancy with the doctor, Lucas moved his workspace to his reception room.
This doubled Philip’s workload. He handled minor tasks himself and brought only important matters to Lucas in the reception room. Recently, Lucas had given him a specific task with a stern face.
At a recent meeting, Lucas had heard from Marquis Richter about the incident at the concert where Leila had gone out for the last time. He couldn’t ignore Marchioness Volpf, who had dared to insult Leila, the future Duchess of Bavenberg.
Moreover, Marchioness Volpf was the one who had previously tried to set Leila up with Count Wagner. Lucas, unable to let it slide, had quickly dug up dirt on the Volpf family.
“So, we’ll first make an offer to the Volpf family…”
Philip, reading the instructions, fell silent at Lucas’s sharp glare. Only after ensuring Leila was still asleep on his lap did Lucas speak softly.
“Do as it says.”
“Yes…”
Philip was already exhausted but felt a sense of relief at the thought of taking it out on the Volpf family. With a more spirited voice than when he arrived, he said,
“Then, I’ll be off!”
“Do a good job.”
“Yes!”
Lucas nodded in satisfaction at Philip’s reliable response. However, when Leila stirred awake at the noise, his expression turned fierce. Philip quickly left before trouble could arise.
“Mmh, who was that?”
Rubbing her eyes, Leila asked. Lucas patted her back and whispered,
“Philip stopped by for a moment. He’s gone now, so don’t worry and go back to sleep. A nap is very important for a pregnant woman.”
“You’re right… I didn’t expect to feel this slee… py…”
Lucas watched her with love as she fell back asleep mid-sentence. He remembered something his father had once told him. When young Lucas had asked if his father loved him the most, his father had replied,
“Children are precious, but the wife who carries them is the most beloved.”
Now, Lucas fully understood what his father had meant. Looking down at Leila, a broad smile spread across his handsome face.
